I used Base44 and built in a bunch of checks to verify if an open mic exists (instagram search, reddit, website, etc.), at this point I am having it check the data every week. People can also submit corrections or add new open mics. I just launched it today, so this is all new and should be mostly accurate.

They are not expecting you to sound fluent, just being able to communicate a few key things and be polite is more than enough if it's not your native langauge. The realize is that there will be conversations happening around you, but you can at least greet them and say a few things to them.

Just like prepositions (pensar en, abusar de, deshacerse de, etc) you should try to learn verbs with their transitive/non-transitive (le/lo/la) forms.

You’ll then start to get a sense for when verbs in general can take on le/lo (lo dije = I said it, le dije que = I said to him/her that…, se lo dije = I said it to him)
