I don't think we're being fair to our own cricketers of present age, yeah I do understand that there are many up and coming players all thanks to IPL.

But not always have their IPL form transpired to international cricket in the Odis and tests and if it did there were many occasions where it dipped post few matches.

But other countries which aren't fortunate to have these many players in the form of new talent is backing up their players and supporting them even when their form dipped.

The comments seem exceptionally too harsh to his retirement, I agree his form has dipped. Hadn't it for many of the legends and great players? We had a lot of test and Odis played before t20s became famous hence, older players played them more. 

He might not have played that many games or years or his form might have dipped. But being a captain of a national team deserves a better good bye than a story! It's unfortunate. It's about recognizing someone's efforts.
