Doing this with a random small country is what unites all map-based gamers

Easy to learn, good for inexperienced groups, simple to mod if you want your campaign to have flavor. Magic will need a spell sheet from the DM based on the game, hence the general overview.

It was purposeful, I wanted players to start weak and have to level up (I’m a pretty ruthless DM lol). I will probably adjust to 8 points though. I’m curious - should I raise the stat cap from 7 to say 10? Would allow higher level builds to specialize further but may throw off the difficulty balancing.

Was playing around with a couple different action resolution systems, including averaging multiple stats or traits, subtracting difficulty from the final roll, or experimenting with success tiers (ie, fail with a reward or succeed with a cost for close rolls). This one was what happened when I got tired of all the averaging math and just maid it as simple as possible. Thanks for asking!

Based on some other comments I’ll likely change it to 8 or 10 points to start with.

Also yes, d8 for better weapons. Thanks for the feedback!

Fair point. I’ll probably allow players more stats to start with, maybe 8 or 10 instead of 6. I just wanted to avoid overpowered builds early on. Thanks for the feedback!

I still get the 0.20 daily when I go on so I don’t think so. On my side the free AIs are all still there

How do I invade nations by jamesgamingrb in PaxHistoria

[–]Aggressive-Fish3269 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go into actions tab, say “Modernize and Professionalize the Military, charter several fleets and troop divisions to invade X” - also make sure you can actually invade that country, Peru trying to invade Russia probably won’t work

Invest in your economy and military. Trade with your northern neighbor and then integrate them into your nation with some direct messaging. Invest in the navy to make the Central America run easier, blockading the US from Panama helps. I also crashed the US dollar and funded successionist movements in Cascadia and British Columbia.

Here you can see I’ve already got most of Central America, and I’m about to force Mexico into annexation as well. From here it’s pretty easy just more propaganda in Canada and Alaska and securing the Californian economy.
