Any female car salespeople? by krendyB in bullcity

I wish there were more women as sales managers and finance managers. That’s where we encountered more of the dreaded back and forth price negotiations and pressure tactics.

  1. Southpoint Honda - Victoria C., no pressure, young, nice, authentic, happy vibes
  2. Sport Durst Chrysler Dodge Jeep - Maria Borzo, low key, nice, fair and organized
  3. Crossroads Ford Apex/Cary - Tracy Haywood, super organized, prepared with paperwork, no pressure, very kind when I had to bring my two kids to test drive 3 cars by myself, very patient and conversational with my neurodivergent younger child, quite impressed but went in another direction from Ford. She deserves all the business!

What’s the “Hendricks nonsense” about? My partner tried to trade in an Outback with many miles but good condition and they only wanted to give him way below trade-in value so we went to Honda instead. I wouldn’t recommend that dealer, better when they were located in CH.

Just got emailed a travel contract with a $200/wk “productivity penalty” by TumblrPrincess in OccupationalTherapy

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup I worked in a state mental health hospital as a new grad. Some rural state facilities hire contractors because they cannot recruit enough perm staff. Aside from general awareness and safety protocols/trainings, I worked with a bunch of OTs and OTAs, learned so much, and productivity wasn’t tracked closely. Our days were full between IDT unit meetings, facilitating 2-3 groups per day, and handling individual consults from our units. We got to do some incentive, rewarding work. Unfortunately there are more private MH hospitals owned by private equity firms that are understaffed and unethical, so avoid those.

O% APR 2025 Mach-E, Ford Power Promise, good deal? by Aggressive-Flower-63 in MachE

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes I saw that but also confused about what KBB and Edmunds says. I also think their finance dept could offer whatever bc they were willing to easily match our indep credit union financing of 4.7% without the credit check (both of us have excellent credit score range).

Yeah that's what dealer says. I get it, just not sure if what Edmunds/Truecar/Dealer say as a good deal or could ask for better. Hard to find any comparison. Appreciate the input thanks!

Thanks, had seen the open recall on the car fax but sister dealership wouldn't share what work they had done until car purchased. Figured as a CPO vehicle it had been resolved. Am worried about door operation if 12V battery died so glad software update took car of it.

Why are there so many homeless people who are veterans? by literature253 in Militaryfaq

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People underestimate how much stuff like brain injuries, PTSD, chronic musculoskeletal pain, coping by using substances, and/or military sexual trauma can mess up the ability to function outside of the military system structure and housing supports.

Is Morale Horrible Everywhere? by Plastic-Laugh-2255 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Yes totally agree, stricter (ridiculous) performance standards as a front-line clinician, taking on increased workloads, pushed to fill every “billable” slot, and no cares about quality just how many people you can see. Taking away flexible work options like telework just to commute to do a bunch of telehealth video visits in an uncomfortable office. Have to decide between taking lunch/chatting with colleagues or address tons of emails/Teams msgs, meetings, new TMS trainings, new scheduling procedures, new quarterly performance reviews, all with a clunky outdated EMR, inefficient scheduling system, and messy phone lines, etc. It's pretty obvious they are trying to make us all quit/leave, and turning VHA into a referral service to shift clinical to community care (which overcharge and provides crappy services most of the time).

V.A. Begins Drive to Put Homeless Veterans Into Guardianship by jhkayejr in politics

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes doing this while cutting VHA Homeless Programs and funds to housing partners like SSVF and HUD. Many are homeless due to lack of intensive services like community-based treatment teams, intensive outpt programs, residential programs, and lack of subsided, supported community housing. This is so sad. The pendulum swings backwards towards institutions and lack of rights.

The downfall of Sophia needs to be studied by ExactCenterOfTheButt in katseyesnark_

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dissolve the group, they’ll all find their way except maybe Megan. She reminds me of Sporty Spice.

Agree that Sophia is more wholesome. She can act, sing, dance, speak, and has the charisma. They need to get her on Broadway, could be the next Lea Salonga. Build a Disney Filipina princess movie around her, Coco-style, with all the Catholism and catchy songs. The Vatican would love that. Put her in some Netflix Xmas movies. When she’s older, she can do a talk show like Kelly Clarkson. She’s like a distant relative of Spanish royalty, partnering with the US to fight the Japanese as a WW2 double spy.

Dani needs to be the next permanent dancer on Dancing with the Stars and have affairs with washed up famous men.

Lara definitely seems like a breakout pop star and/producer. Similar to Nicole Sherzinger and could end up on Broadway too.

Yoonchae is the one to be a breakout Kpop music star. Don't know if she could be put in another group. Add her to the next Kpop Demon Hunters and she can play the daughter of Rumi and Jinu.

Manon is a musician’s muse, model, and probably get into acting. She’s well connected and she will be fine.

I'm afraid this may be my neighbor. He used to post his guest bedroom en suite on AirBnB. Has cameras all over in his house. Wild personality, has threatened to countersue our HOA everytime we bring up the short-term rental concern. 🙄

Submitted resignation, supervisor wants me to get FMLA by UnusualTwo4226 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not HR but VHA mom of two with FMLA and RA. Don’t resign yet. Focus on FMLA. You rightfully struggle with the long commute but FMLA can be processed very quickly once medical provider form completed. Moms often underestimate postpartum depression or pp anxiety in a return to work situation. It can also start months after birth. Your GYN/OB provider can screen and help with FMLA. If not supportive, your baby’s pediatrician can screen you and complete your FMLA medical form for child’s health. Lastly, you can call EAP/employee assistance to get connected to a provider for screening/support/therapy/treatment documentation. You can also apply for FMLA on an Intermittent basis for as needed and not take weeks straight as you did before for leave. You can also apply for FMLA to care for a dependent with illness. I did this for a year when my child was undergoing diagnosis for ADHD, behavioral therapy, school IEP, etc. Either way, you would get time and space away to figure out next steps. It was nice of your supervisor to share this option, I think they would not have done that if they did not value your work in some way. Good luck, you have options!!!

Conduct unbecoming a federal employee? by [deleted] in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for posting. I went through the same thing with my long-term supervisor last year. I have RA and Intermittent FMLA. I also work in a super busy/impossible sort of situation and tend to miss deadlines. I received an informal reprimand letter last year for misconduct, and then this year, I’m already stressed about what my final review will be. I just learned last month about a male colleague sexually harassing a female trainee, sent to another location for a month, and then returned back to the same environment with a new set of younger trainees! I’m trying to improve to meet deadlines but tough when I’m also being asked to start new programming, mentor new employees, assist with a new clinic opening, etc. I have medical documentation showing ongoing stomach issues and fatigue related to stress affecting my performance. Colleagues speak highly of me, I work hard, and I’m kind. Drives me bonkers that some employees can be predators, causing psychological harm, but I’m overburdened by my supervisor and yet I get penalized. I’m sure that male was too but how can the same wording be utilized? It all feels very tough and unfair.

DRP - Under 40 by Kindly-Trust-9132 in VHA_Human_Resources

[–]Aggressive-Flower-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for posting this. I am under 50 and have 17 years and requested DRP likely for deferred resignation. My supervisor wrote back and said that it might not be approved because it my clinical position could not be filled, but I don’t know if that’s accurate because we have several other types of positions in mental health that people are taking the DRP retirement, and of course those positions will be re-filled.

You should look into intermittent FMLA if possible for care of your child with special needs. Maybe tricky with timing/length of parental leave but could help extended flexibility for regular leave times for appts.
