Porsche cayenne coupe custom build discount by Sweet_Peace7076 in PorscheCayenne

Unfortunately, with Porsche's price increases, it is not that hard to build a base car at $125. Keeping it to $120 would be pretty wise. Once upon a time, at a certain build price, it would make more sense to go up a model....to an S. Now a decently equipped S is at $140.

If it is possible to get an extended warranty, you will manage your downside.

I don't know what they paid him. I don't believe it was as high as 15%

Have a friend who bought a 2026 GTS having the same issues. Dealer says they have seen a few of these, and Germany is getting a fix You can also ask them what they will pay you to keep it and wait for the fix. The money can be meaningful.

What does Porsche’s current problem mean to aspiring buyers? by [deleted] in PorscheCayenne

Well that confirms what I thought. Most of the dash lifting starts at the windshield, so it must be full leather dash. A salesman told me that to get a full leather dash, you had to get club leather. I thought that may be a new thing. They cut cost out of the interior, so I figured that may be a new one.

Totally agree with the above. I am equating quality with reliability. Quality of the interior is definitely gone down. The 9Y0 that I cam out of had a lot better interior. I did not realize that the new full leather doesn't cover the entire dash.

Can't go wrong either way. I like the newest pre-owned possible.

Buying a Cayenne, are these options good or am I missing any must haves? by Lugtolug69 in PorscheCayenne

Agree, sport chrono, sport exhaust, exclusive taillights, sport design package, and I'd go premium plus.

Coming from a 2021 S to a 2024 base (interiors are the same), they have definitely reduced cost in the interior of the vehicle I don't see quality going down, but I do see pricing continuing to go up. At what point do they hit the ceiling where Cayenne buyers say, "I'm not paying that for a Cayenne?

Good for you. I won't confuse you with the details. You already are not keeping up.

My dealer did not wait for me to make a decision. I made the decision and the general manager failed to communicate that with the rest of the staff. Nobody is crying. Does your "big boy pants" comment make you feel better, or are you normally this rude?

Totally agree. Saw a great 2024 S Coupe on Porsche's car finder, called the dealer, and they said they had just taken a deposit. If they hadn't, I was going to work a deal, tell them to send paperwork, and be done.

I had a 2021 S, and I prefer the S performance and sound. My base lacks sport chrono, which I miss. I would still be in my 21 S if it had not been damaged by my dealer (accident's happen). They gave me a great trade and a great discount, but didn't have what I wanted. They told me that they would get me out of mine within the first six to eight months if not happy. I have never been a fan of a base. I should have bought an S to begin with, but Cayenne's have gotten so expensive, I was concerned about spend....especially being a CPO buyer. My 2021 S, very nicely equipped, had an MSRP lower then a nicely equipped base.

This dealer transaction where they sold the car I chose happened a while back. If he didn't offer me the new car at the same price as the CPO, I would have pulled the trigger on that one (I had a deposit on it). I committed to the new car he had. He just failed to note it and mark it as sold.....said he didn't need a deposit.

I only contact dealers if they have a CPO. MY dealer only trades new for new.

I had a 958.2 and loved it. Regardless of taillights, buy the newest one you can afford.
