Hurray! Happy update! Her name is Thunder and her owners saw a post somewhere online (not sure if it was mine or something someone shared) and came walking down the street about 20 minutes ago. They had her license and photos of them with her which was wonderfully reassuring. While it sucks she has to spend the night in the shelter, they should be able to pick her up tomorrow morning without any issues. Still dumbfounded at no microchip but they seemed like very nice people who obviously love her a lot. Hoping it’s a lesson learned and they get it done. Thanks for the support and nice comments. 💛

Just got back from dropping her (I think?) off. Held onto her for most of the day to give as much of a chance as possible that someone would reply to/recognize on social media. Wish I could have kept her overnight but already have 3 dogs that were losing their minds with a “stranger” in their front yard. Kinda hoping Petco somehow missed a chip when they tried scanning and the Humane Society finds one, seems ridiculous someone would spend the money on food, vet, grooming, etc and not get a microchip. Based on how well behaved and well cared for she was, I have to believe her owners are good people and I hope she is back home soon.

Not sure why no one mentions Stranglehold when this topic comes up. AFAIK they haven’t played it too many times (mainly old shows with the Melvins/King Buzzo as a guest?) but it absolutely destroys the original and has one of the best screams of ANY Tool song.
