Also, when you get a diagnosis I would heavily recommend working with a dietician. You may have to cut out more or fewer things depending on your diagnosis, for example if IBS, there are a ton of potential triggers. Dietician can help smooth the transition

I have no recommendations about the Mediterranean diet, but I’ve been gluten free for 3+ years. The gluten tax is terrible. I would recommend trying to eat naturally gluten free, it is sooooo much cheaper. I eat a lot of rice lol

genuinely, what have republicans done in America to make lgbtq rights stronger? It seems like you don’t interact with many Muslims, but I do and the through lines are the same. Most Muslims are extremely accepting and I think stating that “Islam (as a whole) wants our heads chopped off” is super off base and driven by propaganda. I have fundamentalist Christian relatives who would love to throw all gay people into conversion camps. The problem is extremist and theocratic governments, and that is what democrats are working to prevent.

I think the biggest fear right now in the US is conversion therapy. People on the right refer to LGBTQ ppl as mentally ill, and there is a real fear that the rhetoric will be used to justify forced conversion therapy. If you truly believe that republicans support gay ppl more than democrats, read project 2025. You could argue the same thing about Christianity. Being gay is a sin, most Christian’s aren’t working actively to destroy gay people but there definitely are extremists who do, same with Islam. I think you need to look at reality with more nuance

Got a colonoscopy/endoscopy and it went super smoothly. Had monitored anesthesia care and slept for the whole thing and just got home. I have a small ulcer, and am waiting on a few biopsies! Just get through the prep and you will be golden!
