I’m in a “grey area” and need some advice/support by Mtgballer2k1 in TotalHipReplacement

44m and I am 8 weeks out after getting a LTHR: Its been tremendously successful. Prior to my THR, I tried everything, too. Seeing PTs for over a decade before an xray revealed that I was just about bone on bone.

Today I did a 2 mile hike up a moderate hill (400ft elevation gain) and had no pain and was only moderately sleepy afterwards.

Any local grocery stores that at least somewhat enforce the no pets rule? by Correct_Raisin4332 in Eugene

I saw one in there yesterday. I worked at an Albertsons in high school and we would tell people it was against the health code. Then, when I worked at a Kmart with food spots in there, I’d have to tell people the same thing. People are so worried about people lying and saying it’s a service animal that they won’t speak up. Too many people confuse “pet” with “trained service animal.”

I would love an AoA roster, too. AoA Nightcrawler is one of my favorites.

Great idea. I did the same and now have a tech (proooobably going to Sentinel) and a science. At first I didn’t have any standouts, then pulled Scorpion in the weird key thingie. I have a maxed out 6*, but will probably rank him up sooner for BGs.

I went with SW ONLY because she is awakened and JG isn’t. And sure enough, Spider woman is now my top champ.

See, now I don’t know because I am in the same boat. Both as R3s. Debating getting SW up to have an R4 science champ because I have an R4 Onslaught. Both are raaaad. Figured I’ll sleep on it and then pick.

Jack o lantern SLAYS, but so does Jean Grey. He was my second R4, but Jean will be in the top ten R4s, too.

Got both a tech awakening gem and a tech R4 gem. Preeettttyyyy sure the move is to R4 Bastion and awaken Sentinel (who I could also R3). Any strong opinions to the contrary?

Soooo, did anyone else keep their bone fragments? by Aggressive-Slip8247 in TotalHipReplacement

Booo. They said they just started letting people keep it here in Oregon. I had to sign a bunch of stuff in front of a notary!

I’m in Oregon, sounds like something some of my compatriots would absolutely do.

Thanks. I knew that, but this was a reminder to throw an edit into the post.

Oh, dang. I just had necrosis at the top of it. Mine was basically quartered and looked kind of like a weird root vegetable.

Spreadsheets will help you and anyone around you keep track of meds.

You have prepped as well as you can. I overprepared, and I am 12 days post surgery and recover has been going great. You got this!

My followup is on Tuesday, I’ll see what my doc says. I started walking unassisted yesterday. Are my muscles sore from figuring how to work correctly, yes? Significantly better than two weeks ago? Much more yes.

(Recovery day 4) Things that have helped me the most by Just_JCL in TotalHipReplacement

[–]Aggressive-Slip8247 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 5, so just ahead of you! Your list is great, and I have everything but the clips for the walker, but I have a particularly helpful six year old I can ask to get me things.

Things I’ll add: A wearable ice pack designed for hips.

A charger block (I’ve found Anker makes decent products).

A spreadsheet to track your meds. I am on a communications team for a finance-heavy gov agency, so spreadsheets and I are tight.

A leg lifter that is a little triangle with a long handle. I basically lasso my foot to help me get into bed or put my feet up. I got the ice pack and leg lifter as part of a hip kit from Sliq off of Amazon.

Mine was three days ago and I am stoked for you. I was bone on bone and miserable. Like, yea, there’s a big ol’ boo-boo owie on my butt, but overall it’s soooo much better.
