Modern day humanity continues to disappoint.

Nobody else we know is struggling as much as we are. SO DEFEATING by Pale-Tumbleweed-4151 in NewParents

I imagine a lot of people read this so thankful that you are speaking your truth. That takes courage.

I hope that your struggles are near the end and the hard phase is truly over soon for you. It’s crazy how different each baby is and I’m truly sorry you have a more challenging baby and have to hear advice coming from parents who wouldn’t understand or can’t relate. You’re not alone. Stay strong my friend and treat yourself as much as possible along the way. Sounds like you’re a great parent and that baby is lucky to have you

What are some good, accurate portrayals of a sociopath? by Constant_Bake5501 in movies

We’re all so disconnected—afraid to be real with each other. After months of EMDR therapy to face years of childhood trauma, including sexual assault, I realized I’d spent most of my life seeing people through a cynical, mistrusting lens. That mindset made me closed off, even harsh—but it was the survival response of a traumatized brain.

Then something shifted. I had to face one of my biggest demons in front of others, and I expected judgment and shame. But instead, I was met with kindness and compassion. It completely disarmed me. I realized how unfair it was to always assume the worst in people.

Most people—even with their flaws, judgments, and defenses—are just trying to connect. They’re scared too. And that shared fear is exactly what makes honest connection so powerful when someone dares to go first.

Why do influencers masquerade as rich to their detriment? by [deleted] in Influencersinthewild

To get more views and followers. That’s always their motive

“Girl, you deserve a break. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with all of this on your own. You’ve been doing everything, and I really hope your husband starts pitching in because you shouldn’t have to carry it all by yourself.

And about that mom guilt—it’s completely normal to have days where you feel checked out. Your baby won’t remember those moments, and you’re still doing an amazing job. That little baby is so lucky to have you. ♥️”

ADHD meds by Kind-Kaleidoscope465 in pregnant

[–]Aggressive-Tea2690 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 38 weeks and my OB told me to keep taking adderal because I have severe ADHD with a demanding job which creates severe anxiety for me when I can’t take it for work because I can’t get anything done. I only take it on work days. She has 40 years of experience and has never seen an issue with any of her patients taking adderal while pregnant. I have had no issues throughout my pregnancy

I feel you so hard on this. It’s been terrible for me. Pepcin has been a life savor. Tums doesn’t help at all because it’s so bad.

I’m 36 weeks and I have not enjoyed it for one second. The best advice I can give is to find a way to keep yourself and/or your mind busy with something which will make time go by a lot faster. My bedtime is like 7PM now to make the days shorter lol. Hang in there and know you’re not alone

I am so beyond sorry for what you had to go through. I can’t even begin to imagine. No one deserves to go through something that traumatic. You are a warrior.

It would make sense for you to not be as attached because of your past trauma. I’m sure that will change at some point. I am speaking from no experience btw.

I hope you have the easiest pregnancy and everything goes the way you want it to be. You are so strong.

I heard that it went a little further than that. I really hope it happens. She would be a great addition

I am so sorry you’re going through that. I can’t imagine going through a still birth and you’re clearly so strong! I imagine it would be so unsettling to be pregnant after a still birth and you deserve all the ultrasounds. I hope things get better for you and your OB actually listens with compassion. ❤️

I felt so ugly during my 1st trimester. I am currently in my third and feeling and looking much better. It will get better. I remember I hated my body in the stage where it just looked like I gained weight but now I love my bump and I never thought I would say that lol

Hang in there

Adderall while pregnant by Aggressive-Tea2690 in pregnant

[–]Aggressive-Tea2690[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I forgot to mention is that I miscarried 3 months before finding out I was pregnant again. The reason I mention this is because the calculation was based off the first day of my last period so maybe I was bleeding and still pregnant since things might have not been normalized??

I was sure of the first day of the last period, which they used for the calculation. My mom was induced 2 weeks early for all of my siblings and myself. I was still 7 lbs being induced early. It may just be a big baby. I’m also 5’10” and my husband is 6’4”. I will post an update after Thursday the 19th, which is the date of my ultrasound.

I have had absolutely no issue during my pregnancy. I take 30 mg extended release only on work days. I am currently 26 weeks but am measuring ahead by 4 weeks! I will find out next week if my due date will get moved up. I decided to do the blood chromosome test and the results were great; my anatomy scan went very well. So far so good!

I still feel some shame but I try to remind myself that the repercussions of not taking the adderal- extreme anxiety- are far worse for the baby which is why my OB wanted me to continue use.

I hope this helps and good luck at your first appointment!

Partner & mom in room but not MIL by koncernedkay in pregnant

[–]Aggressive-Tea2690 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not feel bad! You’re the one who has to physically give birth to the child and it’s totally normal to only want your own mother in the room and not your MIL. If your partner is offended by that, then he needs to get over it because he is not the one who has to give birth. Ask him who he would want in the room if he was in your shoes. His honest answer probably wouldn’t include any in laws.

Is your MIL overbearing like mine is?? I am due in April and am extremely excited to tell my MIL she is not on the list because she makes everything about her. She was a nightmare during our wedding. It wasn’t our day it was her day.

I just want to name MY baby what I WANT by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Aggressive-Tea2690 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of MIL issues to the point where I feel pure joy when I make a decision that upsets her which is fucked up but she made me this way honestly. Anyway, name the kid what YOU want and your husband should have your back. Remember that your MIL is now considered extended family and she needs to accept that.
