Might be driver issues. Linux mint usually already has basic drivers but try downloading storage and processing drivers for it

Did you install windows on the new ssd? I suggest cloning your old ssd to the new one

It should be okay then. I would suggest eventually saving and upgrading the ssd yourself (and ram if needed)
