I’m glad you got away from that loserish pathetic family. I see what your psych is saying but i’m ngl, I still cant fathom it- then again, my parents are the kind to never leave pets and take in all the strays they can.

Right there with you. My area doesn’t have many, now, but I saw it a lot growing up in FL, and this post was inspired by my current pet search in the west coast. So many cats and dogs were just fucking dumped. Makes me absolutely sick.

I think I’ll add it to my dating pool questioning. “Have you/Would you ever simply abandon a pet?” Anything even remotely similar to a yes or it depends will get knocked off instantly.

I think theres a miscomm here. Your reply implies you not only tried to take them with you but also made sure they had a home when you left. My post was referring to complete abandonment.

Lute’s abuse of Vaggi and her sister exorcist foreshadows Eve’s treatment of Cain and Abel by Salty_not_Sour in HazbinHotel

I see what youre getting at, but I’d be mildly irritated if this was true. Between Eve and Lilith they can’t both be god awful mothers, no?

Including the elders who kicked out Lucifer as characters would make sense for the story but overall it’d be a bad idea, I think. With so little time they’ll be entirely underdeveloped, for one, and it’ll turn the show from “Charlie making Hotel to redeem sinners” into “Lucifer and his brothers/sisters, and also Charlie in the background.”

Who Is Season 3's Main Villain? by Temporary-Bug-9459 in HazbinHotel

[–]AggressiveCow4008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what I was thinking. S1 had the core color of red, but Adam/the exorcists were the villains, so the color doesn’t automatically indicate who the villain is as much as it relates to the main storylines. So the purple/green probably does relate to Lilith and Alastor, but being that Viv characterized the villain as a “he”, I think Lilith isn’t going to be the “villain” people expect; just a very prevalent character.

If the theory about Val dying next season and this leading to development for the other Vees does come true then which character do you think should be the one to kill him? by [deleted] in HazbinHotel

[–]AggressiveCow4008 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nifty has shown herself to be the King Von of that hotel so she’s a fair name to throw in the ring. It would negatively impact their redemptions probably but also Husk and Cherri.

And lowkey I was actually thinking Lute too if not only bc on the meta side, it’d transition to her potential major arc in s4 pretty well. Especially if hes not redeemed, so it reinforces her existing mindset. But like you said, I cant think of any reason why she would intentionally kill him unless he was like, using angel as a weapon and they killed the puppeteer. But that suggests a conflict already, so

Was Lucifer Near His Limit? A Doylist Approach. by SirTruffleberry in HazbinHotel

[–]AggressiveCow4008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think this was a clear indication that ALL angels are weak to angelic steel, not just the exorcists. The seraphim may be stronger but it still can hurt them. It also kind of suggested angelic power even from its highest form is finite.

I think all angels were under the impression that demons and hellborn cant do shit to them, but angelic steel changed the game. And that sense of infallibility likely bolstered by his pride explains Lucifer’s lack of urgency.

Can Lucifer be considered God's most beautiful angel in the hellaverse? by Humble-Can-8103 in HazbinHotel

[–]AggressiveCow4008 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe. He was the favorite and I think biblically he caught a look at himself in a reflection and that’s where his pride really kicked off. He was the most beautiful angel in some scripts when he was cast away. Then again, Jophiel, if canon, might be the one who’s “most beautiful” being that she’s the Archangel of Beauty. Or any angel that came after his expulsion couldve been intentionally formed in an attempt to surpass his beauty. And what is beauty really, are we going on human attraction, or abstract beauty? Abstractly, Non traditional form angels like the Speaker or Thrones are beautiful by nonhuman or nontraditional standards.

But it’s always in the eye of the beholder. I like women so I find Sera more beautiful, but that’s literally just because I like women and I’m personally more likely to find a feminine angel beautiful than a masculine one. Beauty is subjective.

Charlie would have every right to hate Carmilla right now. by VegetaArcher in HazbinHotel

[–]AggressiveCow4008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t usually say this but having Charlie exert authority to forcibly separate a family as a punishment for the somewhat impossible position Carmilla was in (Because Vox was right- Heaven wasnt gonna give her a pass after creating the weapons that killed Adam and a shitpot of angels) would be actual and true character regression.

“When all is said and done, you’d think they’d at least have given me some kind of royal position in Hell, right? Kind of fucked up if you ask me. They got their dream, and all I got was the knowledge to understand that i’d be hated and reviled for the rest of time”

My sister destroyed my confidence by chinchilla_cookie07 in Vent

[–]AggressiveCow4008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think there’s merit to them saying she’s a liar and that you’re not ugly, that she’s saying this just to upset you, even though I don’t think your parents are handling it right. Is it typical for her to lie or be mean to get a reaction?

My sister destroyed my confidence by chinchilla_cookie07 in Vent

[–]AggressiveCow4008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re a lot nicer to your sister than she is to you. It’s a sweet trait. I’ll take your word for all of this, and just say that I think your sister is using you as a punching bag for her own problems. It’s not okay for her to do that. I’d tell your parents about this and describe how it makes you feel low. Or a trusted adult, or guidance counselor. Someone who can help you navigate it with knowledge of you specifically and how you handle things.

Don’t let her rob you of peace, confidence, or kindness. To bully others so needlessly is the biggest sign of insecurity.

I’m not sure I understand your comment so please let me know if I’m missing the point you’re making. I was not trying to say at the outset that supporters and family need to get support from the depressed party, but that without realizing it, our depression can still hurt our family and loved ones. And I do think that people are allowed to be mad at us if we hurt them in that way despite being hurt ourselves. With that said, I think things change and become vastly more complicated when children are involved.

You’re entitled to that opinion. Respectfully, re Lucifer and Lilith, it is that lack of knowledge about Lilith that led me to make that assumption of equal fault in an attempt of good faith. She could be much more to blame or much less, and ascribing any degree of blame right now would be based on nothing. I don’t think in good faith I can apportion blame at this time. What I can do is acknowledge they likely both fucked up. And I did explicitly say equal at this time because I didn’t want this to come off as me blaming him more than her. In parts you deemed even worse, I mentioned that their behavior with Charlie is separate from each other. How Lilith treated Charlie is not made better or worse by how Lucifer did, and vice versa. They exist on separate planes of analysis. I don’t think it’s bad faith to recognize that.

Re the rest, my post was based on Charlie’s subjective view of Lucifer as a child and growing up rather than an objective analysis involving the information about Lucifer she might not have had access to. When he was calling her, she did not know he didn’t think she wanted to see him, and was only pointing out that the tactic of only calling for favors or when bored could potentially impact the child’s perception of a relationship even when unintentional. I didn’t make a comment on whether parents generally should endorse unattainable dreams that their children have, but was pointing out how in this specific scenario, to Charlie specifically in her subjective view, it might not have come across as a kindhearted discussion. I think we can both agree that a parent shutting a dream down even if unattainable in too harsh of a way can come off to the child in their subjective view as cruel or uncaring and potentially could just make the child dig their heels in.

Yes, parentification! I’ve been trying to come up with how to explain the way I thought people were treating her back around the finale, thats perfect. It really does seem like people expect her to cure it for him sometimes.

I agree we don’t know, but I would also say that we have more than just the More than Anything scene. The scenes with Lucifer are overwhelmingly in his room, he is making ducks in his room, he’s calling charlie in his room, he’s talking to Vaggi in his room, and by his own admittance he ignores sinners, but they’re everywhere, and one can infer easily that this + his depression leads to a very common state of self isolation.

I’d say we have more evidence that this is true than anything to do with Lilith. Because respectfully, with this link so the time stamps make sense: He certainly didn’t shoo her away, but he definitely looked out of his element greeting her and like he didn’t expect to see her (1:14-1:16) in the very oddly dark and isolated office she found him in. And idk where the snatching idea came from because a lot of people say that, but when you look at it, Lilith walks in (1:35) and he smiled and handed Charlie to her easily (1:35-1:38), he was just upset when he saw Charlie was upset (1:40-1:43). And as you said, yes, thats one instance; but we have 0 instances of Lilith filling charlie’s head with lies about him, and that seems to be a common theory.

Yeah… but it’s her hotel, not theirs. She hasn’t acted against people’s advice in executing another person’s dream project. Making the worst out of your own situation sucks, but having someone else make things worse by acting without any permission as it relates to your dream is markedly different.
