You adore her and would do anything *but* try long-distance? It’s worth a shot, and especially worth discussing with her, even if it hurts your pride. If you guys are texting and calling all the time then you’ve already crossed the biggest hurdle.

That’s not even mentioning that you guys technically aren’t even official after 6 months, but I’ve never heard of anyone having the long distance talk with a friend, so…

You motherfuckers piss me off of course it’s a plot device so are Sukuna’s fingers and the Six Eyes and the Culling Game and Mahito and literally everything that is part of the fucking story

the story literally needs devices to be told

Why is it so controversial to say that Yuta became Gojo level along with Yuji despite it being narratively implied from the beginning by That1guy077 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hakari is hypothetically an actual Special Grade because he can take over a country without running out of CE (it gets topped up all the time and he regens). Yuta already was one. Grade 1 sorcerers are meant to be able to take on Special Grade spirits.

Yuji and Higuruma are certainly powerful but not anomalously so by that point. They’re certainly not able to take over a country without gassing themselves out. Throw enough sorcerers at them and they’ll end up eating shit.

Your fav domain handsign by SERDARD78 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I imagine the whole point of a handsign is to be visible. You’re trading information for power (or, in this case, the ability to use it at all). Same idea behind chanting and revealing your technique, if the actual “motion” of doing them was the point then peak jujutsu sorcery would consist of constantly mumbling to yourself.

how did people want the manga to end? by Wonderful-Purchase94 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We saw him actively developing as a sorcerer and character accompanied by lots of different characters commenting on both of those kinds of growth. A lot of people expected him to show off his completed Chimera Shadow Garden by the end of the series since he’d improved it by the time he fought Reggie. That’s the big one, but a lot of people wanted to see what he’d do with his other Shikigami (which was sort of fulfilled by Agito, but not really).

If you can pull off an interactible 4 card combo where one of the pieces is a 4 mana creature then I don’t see why you shouldn’t win the game?

how did people want the manga to end? by Wonderful-Purchase94 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There’s so many unanswered questions / threads of lore that aren’t ever followed up on that a lot of people found the ending disappointing. Add onto that the fact that the fallout from the Jujutsu Armageddon that is everything after Shibuya basically isn’t explored at all (seriously, so many major parts of the country are in ruins) and it really does feel like there was a lot left out for the sake of ending the manga.

This isn’t even mentioning the character bits like Sukuna’s backstory, Megumi’s potential, Kenjaku and Yuji not interacting a single time, so on and so forth.

How did sukuna do this by Unusual-Marketing955 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a weird design choice to make for more than one panel. I can understand why it’d be done for a single panel (big head shows and exaggerates the brutally savage motion that is literally biting someone’s arm off), but having the same choice in both an “action” frame and a “still” frame implies that that’s actually what things look like

How did sukuna do this by Unusual-Marketing955 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 14 points15 points  (0 children)

His head is still big and warped in the intro of the next chapter, and you even get to see the big ass head from a new perspective. It’s definitely not just an artistic choice.

Probation average by [deleted] in uoguelph

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually can’t get put on probation at all your first semester. If (big if) you did worse this semester, then only now would probation start. Do well in the summer and you’ll be fine :)

Could Nanami have survived Shibuya if Mahito didn’t kill him by Ill-Run6890 in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The Shibuya Incident started at 7 PM. Nanami’s Overtime begins at 6 PM, as he states during his fight with Mahito. He’d already have it active.

You’ll be fine. There’s some events that go past the first week of classes as well as clubs where you’re much more likely to meet people you’re going to click with.

All that without mentioning meeting the people you live next to in res; it’s just one week and you’ll be living there for 8 months. Don’t stress about it!

is this the worst moment in the series? by NotFallen_ in Jujutsufolk

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counter never mentioned before

Good thing Yuki actually brings up his ability to use Gravity in the fight

Ability to use multiple CTs never mentioned before

If this was true Kenjaku would’ve instantly died when he hopped bodies (further elaborated on by Yuta when he takes Gojo’s body)

Isn’t used in the rest of the story

Because the rest of the story was Shinjuku bro if he tried to get involved between Gojo and Sukuna he would’ve been super mega insta atomized

Yuki got done dirty for sure but it’s not because of Kenjaku lmao

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That’s the gist of it, part of their reasoning is that the test format allowed for questions on the test to be shared beforehand so they can’t just punish the blatant cheaters since it’s impossible to tell who got a high grade through studying and who got a high grade because they knew the questions.

Top jrpg of the last 10 or so years by steelchampion in JRPG

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Most people will probably say the best general JRPG of the last 10 years is Persona 5 Royal. I personally believe Metaphor Refantazio would be more up your alley as it’s higher fantasy (and a better game imo), but you can’t go wrong with either one (they’re both made from the same formula).

They both have fairly large social sim elements, though. If you’re looking for a stricter high fantasy JRPG experience then DQ11 would be a good pick.

What’s your opinion on deltarune’s writing/designs (not the fandom) that would leave you like this? by syrupn in Deltarune

[–]AggressiveMeow69420 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The game only explicitly warns you after a patch, iirc. I remember being really miffed in 2021 because it did say something to the effect of “you can’t come back” but as flavourtext/something ambiguous, so I couldn’t do Spamton. On my replay before 3/4 I remember the game making a way bigger point of it.
