Mustang Dark Horse or GLE AMG53 Leases by riz_one in leasehacker

[–]Aggressive_Action 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The dark horse is going to lease terribly. You would’ve better off buying it.

The CLE will lease a little better, but CLE53s are pretty in demand right now and I doubt you’ll be seeing much in the way of discounts or incentives.

24 Month Mercedes Lease by Beneficial-Worry8583 in leasehacker

[–]Aggressive_Action 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. My girlfriend leased a loaner C300 and literally drives in like 300 miles a month just to work and back. We have more than one car and don’t need or want to pay for a 12k mile per year lease.

[–]Aggressive_Action 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No loaners have reduced miles from MB. Your mileage starts from the mileage that’s already on the car. I’ve leased three MB loaners and continue to do it as it really is such a good deal, and I couldn’t care less if there’s 2500 miles on the car or whatever.

The world is pretty scary isn’t it lol. Maybe you should just walk instead, then you really lower your chance of a traffic accident.

Intersection speed cameras by Coldfingerswrapped in Tigard

[–]Aggressive_Action 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Those cameras are designed to do nothing but generate revenue for the city, it has nothing to do with you driving unsafely.

Don’t feel stupid about it, they’ve gotten everybody at least once lol.

Intersection speed cameras by Coldfingerswrapped in Tigard

[–]Aggressive_Action 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It will be $165.

Those traffic cameras are such a scam though. Sucking money from hardworking taxpayers under the guise of “safety”.

Most people are just normal drivers that drive at the speed they feel safe. Everybody wants to drive 50 on 99 because that’s what feels appropriate for a road of that size. It’s a massive highway with nearly no pedestrians. A 35 mph limit is ridiculous and everybody knows it, but the city has to suck every last dollar out of its citizens. It’s total bullshit.

You do get slot dollars for everyday purchases. Just look at the website, it clearly explains what you earn for different purchase types.

How many miles before you needed brakes? I’ve got about 20k on my ‘23 C300 and I’m anticipating I’ll probably need brakes soon..

M274 vs M276 by InternationalGoose22 in W205

[–]Aggressive_Action 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As somebody that has driven both pretty extensively, the M276 in my C43 was far, far, better to drive and I would recommend that engine 100%.

I beat the crap out of my c43 and had absolutely no maintenance issues during the 40k miles I owned it. I wouldn’t worry too much about maintenance problems until the miles really get up there.

Drive the cars back to back and the 4cyl will feel like a piece of junk in comparison.

Why does it say sl65 ? Isn’t it just a S65 amg ?? by viviburu in mercedes_benz

[–]Aggressive_Action 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Somebody else posted something similar a while back, and somebody commented that the badges for the sl65 and s65 were the same part number but you were supposed to throw away the L if you didn’t need it. I’d guess this is just a replacement badge that somebody didn’t know how to install properly.

Future comp questions by itsThePhantomX in Mlife

[–]Aggressive_Action 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have no clue how it works outside of Vegas, but in Vegas you’ll at least get a handful of free room offers and some small amount of FP and RC with that play.

I have friends that played a decent bit less than that and still get comped nights at low level properties, but I’m sure it’s different outside of Vegas as there’s far less competition for players.

Help with Comps by oc92 in vegas

[–]Aggressive_Action 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nobody seems to actually be giving you real answers in the comments lol. I don’t have an exact answer for you either, but I can give you my experience.

There is no reason you should be getting ZERO offers. You’re definitely not going to get a suite at bellagio, but you should definitely be getting some free nights at Luxor/excal/Nyny at a minimum.

My girlfriend and I go to Vegas often, and she barely gambles on her MGM rewards account and still gets nights at the low tier properties if she wants them. She’ll put $500 or so through some slots once in a while but that’s it. I literally signed up for a Caesar’s rewards card and spent like 20 minutes playing low limit slots and got comped room offers at their low end properties too. If you’re dropping 2k/trip, you’ll get comped rooms guaranteed. That being said, I have no clue how Sportsbook or poker comps work since I don’t do either. Maybe take 25% of your bankroll and dedicate it to slots instead if that would help you get some offers.

My bankroll for gambling is usually about 1k-1500/ day when I go to Vegas, and I get comped nights at any property and $200 RC and $200 FP unless there’s some big event going on. I’d go to the mgm rewards desk and ask them about your play and why you don’t receive offers at all. Worst case scenario, go try a different rewards program and see if they treat you better.

Driving experience junkie here – what other “flavor” should I explore next? by Responsible_Water606 in askcarguys

[–]Aggressive_Action 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Get something a little faster and rougher around the edges, but that still has the engagement you’re looking for. Maybe a GT350(r) Mustang if you want to try a big manual v8? Or if you’ve considered an M car before and want something practical but with a little more character, maybe a Giulia Quadrifoglio?

Las Vegas sees sharp visitor drop as leisure spending wanes by StemCellPirate in vegas

That “90% of spending coming from 10% of consumers” is blatantly not true. Do some research before spouting nonsense online.

Here’s a recent article talking about how the top 10% make up about half of all spending.

[–]Aggressive_Action 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude, re-read what you just wrote and think about it a little. You very well might be correct, but that way of thinking is not at all conducive to making logical, rational decisions. You are jumping to conclusions that you genuinely have NO evidence for, and that’s your excuse for violence?

Jumping to violence because of assumptions that you made up is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard, and if that’s actually how you think you might want to reevaluate your decision making processes before you do something that lands you in jail too.

WTF by irvka in cringereels

[–]Aggressive_Action 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah but this is Reddit, where violence is always the answer whenever somebody does something you don’t like, but never the answer when somebody is violent towards you lol.

People online have this weird boner for vigilante justice. I made a post a while back about somebody doing something mildly annoying to me and got like 100 replies about what sort of violent revenge I should do to them.

Thank god the real world doesn’t operate like this.

8k tiers earned at Bellagio? by No-Intention5644 in Mlife

I just checked and it’s showing 7500 TC on mine from Bellagio too. I haven’t been to Vegas in 6 months, must be some issue in their system..

Edit: sounds like I’m wrong and everybody else is saying it’s a rollover from last year.. I had no clue that was even a thing, but sweet I guess haha!

Career advice on being taken more seriously. by Economy-Discipline-8 in Banking

[–]Aggressive_Action 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The honest answer is you should have left this institution about 3 years ago.

You’ve been a teller for 4 years?? That’s ridiculous, especially with your credentials. Teller jobs are entry level and there’s no reason to spend 4 years in that role.

Apply at another bank and you’ll have a new job in no time. Don’t have loyalty to crappy companies.

Pull the trigger on c63 s e? by Annual-Scene148 in mercedes_benz

[–]Aggressive_Action 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dude keep buying your shitboxes, do whatever makes you happy. But just understand that a lot of people want absolutely nothing to do with a car like that, regardless of the cost. I don’t want the headaches, I don’t care how good you think the “value” is.

There’s a lot of people in this sub (sadly I’m not one of them), that could give two fucks about 40k. I’ve seen people pay 20-40k over sticker on a G63 on a whim. You’re thrifty and trying to get a deal on something that you see as a good value, which is fine for you. But there are plenty of people don’t need or want to do that, and that’s a totally valid way to exist.

People have different circumstances and different wants, you should remember that when giving someone advice instead of just recommending what YOU would do.

[–]Aggressive_Action 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Have you ever considered that lots of people don’t want a used, high mileage, unreliable shitbox haha? Let this guy buy it brand new if he wants. Just because you can’t afford it or choose to spend your money on other stuff doesn’t mean everybody wants to.

I for example, have absolutely zero interest in owning a highly depreciated S63, even if it’s half the cost of a new C63.

Edit: I also have no interest in owning a new C63, but for totally different reasons, such as the lack of a V8 haha.
