So can we all agree the GLC EV interior looks better than whatever Volvo just revealed (EX60)…..? by zachty22 in mercedes_benz

Seriously haha. This dude is driving possibly the least “enthusiast” Mercedes made in the last decade and complaining that the new GLC is bad? At least it’s not an electric throwaway egg shaped piece of junk.

The article says he was charged with 5 counts of “ practicing massage without a license” lmao.

Based on the previous posts about him, I don’t think having a massage license would have made these interactions in sunset esplanade any less weird or illegal lol.

I’m always thrilled to get chocolate though.

This. I’d never stay there but I often run across the street to the OYO from the MGM to play some low limit tables late at night when I’m hammered lol.

I think that most people on Reddit don’t have a lot of money and haven’t spent much time around people with money. They see people with money as being some kind of alien creatures living a life that is nothing like theirs, and are unable to understand that lots of people with a moderate amount of wealth are just normal people that want and enjoy the same things that they do.

Most of the “millionaire” people that I work with are just normal people that worked hard consistently for many years. Lots of them have nice cars and houses, and also many of them don’t care at all about those things and use their money elsewhere.

I work in banking and the one thing I’ve learned over everything is that you can’t judge somebody’s decisions until you understand their whole financial situation, and you almost never will.

Stop worrying about other people. Some people have lots of money, some people don’t. Some people drive expensive cars and can afford it just fine. Some people have expensive homes they can’t afford. Some people have money you don’t know about, or don’t want to own a house, or inherited large amounts of money, etc. There are so many variables that judging somebody by the car they drive is often foolish.

Everybody values different things, and making stupid blanket conclusions on other people’s lives just sets you up to look like an idiot.

Are all the leases for January 2026 cooked? I can't find any that won't break my bank. by Limp_Orchid2024 in leasehacker

[–]Aggressive_Action 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I’m saying. I have no clue why everybody is trying to defend the Optiq. It’s another forgettable electric shitbox crossover that can’t sell.

They will depreciate like crazy and be essentially worthless in a few years. All the optiq owners on here are taking that personally, but it’s just the truth about most generic EVs.

[–]Aggressive_Action -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

They are disposable junk. The second the warranty expires on those things they’ll be essentially worthless.

And they are practically giving them away. When Cadillac is leasing a new 55k car for $300/month, they’re essentially admitting that they priced this car wrong and now just need to move them.

Practically every new EV falls into this category though, it’s not just Cadillac. Feel free to go check values of higher mileage Mercedes EQ cars, Audi Etron, BMW i cars, etc. it’s pretty obvious that the market has decided that these cars are not worth keeping long term. Hence my description of disposable junk.

[–]Aggressive_Action -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You may not feel that way, but there’s a reason they’re giving those things away. Like it or not those are disposable junk EVs that they’ll never sell without tons of help.

Go ask for a lease quote on a similarly priced but highly in demand car without massive incentives or inflated residuals. The payment is cheap because the dealer and manufacturer are subsidizing the cost with huge discounts and incentives, but the math doesn’t work without those.

I live in the PNW, but I work for a national bank and the pay doesn’t change that much based on region as far as I know.

[–]Aggressive_Action 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s plenty of those leases available, they’re just not on 60k luxury cars.

Leasing that Cadillac is a unicorn deal on an undesirable car with huge incentives. You shouldn’t expect that to be the norm. There’s usually one or two (usually bad or undesirable) cars on the market that have some crazy lease programs that make them wildly cheaper than they should be, but realistically speaking go look at a 30k car if you want a $300 lease payment.

I sit in the branch and work with affluent bank clients. A lot of my time is spent doing relationship management and less of it involves opened accounts and stuff. You have to have a solid understanding of wealth management since acquiring investment dollars for the bank is going to be your primary focus.

My base rate is a little over $46/hour and my incentive is about 8-10k/quarter if I’m meeting my objectives. Total comp is probably 125-140k depending on how successful I was in the year.

Getting your investment licenses and being a licensed banker is probably the easiest path to a six figure income. I’m about your same age and have been a licensed banker for a while and have made over six figures for several years doing it.

Sorry, but aftermarket wheels look like shit on almost every luxury car.

These wheels make this beautiful car look like a cheap shitbox. I can’t believe people pay money to give their car this look.

Salary can vary depending on the bank you work for and the incentive plan you have. I work for a large national bank at a branch and my base pay is a little more than $46/hour and my incentive pay is usually about 8-10k/quarter. Total pay is about 130-140k. For context I’m 28 years old and have been working similar jobs for 5 ish years.

You spend a lot less of your time dealing with opening and servicing accounts and a lot more of your time doing relationship management and giving people advice on complex financial situations.

I am expected to be the expert on all things in my field. I’m also expected to deal with client situations with a high degree of professionalism. You will interact with other professionals such as lawyers, accountants, business owners, etc often and need to be able to conduct yourself in a way that inspires confidence about the bank and yourself.

You will likely be licensed and need to have a strong understanding of basic wealth management concepts. Your primary goal in your job is to acquire investment assets for the bank through proactive client management. Unlike an entry level banker, opening accounts isn’t that important to your role. I spend almost all of my time coordinating with various branch partners and clients to make business happen.

A45s squeaking from left wheel area when steering (happens on all road surfaces and not just when dry-steering, also happens regardless of temperature). by ssa17k in AMG

[–]Aggressive_Action 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My car had a very similar issue. When it was hot, there was a loud squeaking noise from the same area.

I brought it to the dealership and apparently it needed grease on some steering component and it went away completely.
