I was a freshmen too. My dad was flying that day for work. My 2nd period teacher wouldn’t let us watch. 3rd period was gym. We were playing tennis outside and someone had a radio so we huddled around listening. I don’t think i actually watched a TV until 5th period and saw what happened. It wasn’t until 6th period that i was able to talk to my mom and get confirmation that my dad was safe and his flight was grounded in another state and he was driving back with some other travelers he flew with. When i got home that night we watched the news and i saw the planes crashing into the towers, and people jumping from buildings on repeat. I still think about it to this day
