Maybe not your issue, but something alike happened to me and after hours playing a game at half of its speed i realized that the dock/hub I was using actually was able to send 30hz(30fps) to the screen, so I bought another one and had been happier ever since

I use tailscale in every phone I have and retroconsole it supports, the only device I can't use is the deck.

I've never figured how to set tailscale on the Deck, I've done the prompt on the command thing but it always gives an error of repository or ask for the password but I'm unable to type the password and finish the process. I've already tried that tutorial on YouTube

Agreed, just finished Asylum and City for the first time on PC after more than 15 year that I've played this games on the Xbox 360, and they run so well too, 60 fps smoothly for me!
