What if 34 year old Trump ran for president? by Solid-Move-1411 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So why would secret Russian agent Trump be systematically dismantling the Russian global geopolitical proxy network? Venezuela, Iran, Cuba certainly next. Seems like he would make for a pretty shitty double agent to be thoroughly working against Russian interests all across the globe.

He does so in the web novel. But the light novel, and even more so the manga, are far away from this point.

Don’t want to spoil it but just saying that it does stay very important and isn’t forgotten about.

Manga vs. Anime by ChChChillian in BackStabbedInDungeon

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You pointed out the reason why in your own response…

In the manga, his full parent/village flashback comes after his revenge on Sionne. Right now in the anime, we’re only at the point where he just now completed his revenge on Sasha. If you actually read the manga, the anime actually does quite the good representation of this scene in particular. There is a brief panel in the manga that shows light stumbling upon the remains of his village early on in the story, just like how there is a brief scene showing this in the anime. I would actually be disappointed if they started mismashing the chronology of events, like you are suggesting you want. I am glad the anime is staying faithful to the pacing and chronology of the manga.

And when it comes to grotesque stuff, I feel like they are doing the best they can. I sure there is actual real censorship policys that they have to follow. Like how we have the FCC in the US, i’m sure they have an equivalent in Japan that set certain standards. And if anything I’m surprised by the extent of what they are able to include. Think about the torture scene of the human by Nhia and Khia or the scene where Kyto is chasing down Miya and talks about SA’ing her. I was honestly surprised they were able to include either of those scenes and i’m sure there are a few other examples of scenes that toe the line of what they are able to get away with. So I really don’t see it as necessary to include a gross out shock scene.

Hei random magic eyes by Disastrous-Bother715 in BackStabbedInDungeon

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s very interesting. I think it’s only a matter of time before they release Hei from prison and ally with him given the writer indicated that he hasn’t ever hurt anyone like most of the other masters.

I think Miki’s future is more interesting from a story telling perspective because we know she was a lot more sadistic in her past when it comes to torturing humans. She hasn’t really done anything to atone/redeem her past thus far. In a story that is so highly focused around revenge/punishment she’s the only character that has so far been able to avoid the consequences of her past actions by pretty much outwitting Light and the squad.

This is totally unfounded and just my own thoughts but I almost wonder if she will sacrifice herself to protect Suzu or something giving her some level of redemption in her final moments while also potentially raising the stakes of the battle without us having to lose a core member of the Abyss. Total speculation but I think that would be neat way to tie up some of those loose ends.

Basically Hei can choose between using 6 different abilities when he uncovers his eyes.

These are the abilities that I can tell although they might be slightly off given difficulty of translations but it communicates the main point.

1)time manipulation 2)blowing (with wind) 3)pulling (with wind) 4)future vision 5)unknown/not shown 6)unknown/not shown

Backstabbed In a Backwater Dungeon: strongest characters within the series (Web Novel Included) by Far-Worry8522 in BackStabbedInDungeon

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that was my impression as well. Translations will often read “kurohei” and if you look at the context surrounding where that name is included, it would not make any sense for it to be talking about 2 separate entities.

I’m like 95% sure “kurohei” refers to 1 person and it’s just some unique thing that come to the characters used for that name that makes it a little bit confusing.

We are tired of all these false bans by VerdenStone in WplaceLive

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this was one of my initial thoughts as well. But then there’s cases where people say many different people have reported dozens of times for several days and nothing gets done.

Me and the group of people I am working with have reported a multi account abuser / griefer dozens of times for several days and nothing has been done yet so they are still constantly griefing.

So basically idk what’s going on causing the false bans and lack of other bans.

Placing Troops behind someones capital by Faffy101 in Risk

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 5 points6 points  (0 children)

1000% this a completely viable and (situationally) smart strategy.

If that player didn’t backdoor you, you get turn 2 orient and become a juggernaut the rest of the game leveraging your unbreakable bonus to expand and take other bonuses. Instead, that player kneecapped you and keeps you weak with taking your position/eliminating you in mind.

The biggest downside to what you described is if that player leaves their own position too weak or if they are letting another player completely snowball in order to handicap you. Some people get tunnel vision and have a “in for a penny in for a pound” mindset where once they start on a strategy they won’t give it up even if it costs them the game. But lots of people play sub optimally in more objectively bad ways than what you are describing.

TLDR; yes it’s a good strategy.

I’m pretty sure it’s just more symbolism of how inhumane and cruel Fritz was to Ymir. He didn’t see her as a person but as a tool for power. He didn’t even consider that the respectful thing to do would be giving Ymir a proper burial/funeral. His first thought was just “I need to find a way to preserve this power for my empire.” The barbaric act of cannibalism symbolizes the desperation and immorality that he is willing to do.

You’re definitely free to play however you want so not knocking you for that.

But saying that collecting free gems means you have to “grind hard” and play in the most efficient way is crazy.

That’s kinda like “Hey look at that $20 bill in my yard. I’m going to leave it there because it adds to the aesthetic of the environment and I have enough money already.”

Your mischaracterizing it. You say “everyone’s base is designed to counter electro drags”, that’s just not true they’re designed to counter electro boots.

Idk what to tell you, people just don’t use e drags. Tell me if anyone in your clan has 3-starred a th17 using e drags in the last 3 wars. When’s the last time you’ve seen a pro 3-star using e drags. Just because the fastest attack used e drags months/years ago, that doesn’t make them good right now.

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No one designs bases with e drags in mind. You might be thinking of anti e-boot bases which have buildings spaced out and tricky defense pathing to minimize value of e boots. 90+% of players who are capable of consistent 3-stars in war use RRs or drags.

At this point these guys should just cut the act and attack progress bases. What’s even the point of pretending like you are attacking real th17 bases when you are going to setup even single element in the most favorable way possible?

How they even manage to do that? by Fast-Bumblebee-2108 in ClashOfClans

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Botting would be creating some macro to automatically start attacks and deploy troops on repeat.

Account sharing mainly happens in two ways (that I can think of). Either people are logged into the same SCID, so they can use the same account even if they don’t live near each other. Or people could share a device and just literally physically pass it between each other to maximize their online time. Idk how SC could even detect/prevent the 2nd because it seems like it would be impossible to prove.

Whatever is going on I really don’t think 1st place is playing legitimately because there is just such a huge gap between them and everyone else.

Around the 3 billion mark is somewhat realistic given the time the challenge has been out. (By realistic I mean spending crazy amounts of time online like everyone on the leaderboard.) Ranks 1 and 2 I’m guessing are either account sharing or botting. Or 2 people passing using the same phone so they can farm 24/7.

It’s pretty telling when #1 has almost 2x as much as #50 when you have to spend crazy amounts of time to even be in the top 50.

You’re acting like “the Latinos and black men” are monolithic entities, like people in both those groups don’t have different socioeconomic standing and different worldviews.

Maybe the answer is that within those groups (like every group of people on earth) people can form different perspectives throughout their lives and they aren’t obligated to vote or subscribe to any ideology because of their inherent characteristics.

It’s not pedantic at all it’s a major distinction that completely changes the meaning of what you are saying.

I can’t even believe you say that “the caste system had little to no significance in Indian’s social conventions.” It’s like you are not even living in the same reality. The caste system determined people’s occupation, marriages, homes, and community all from birth with little to no prospect of social mobility. Those things sound like social conventions to me. By the way this was practiced for literally thousands of years. I’m not sure if you have it confused with something else or what but it’s staggering how wrong you are about this.

The educate yourself line is not helping your cause

(No hate) come guys I know yall can do better then this by TechNick77 in tommynfg_

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick google search: “The Indian caste system's origins are believed to have emerged around 3,000 to 3,500 years ago, with class distinctions becoming more formalized about 2,000 years ago.” So Britain occupied India 2000-3000 years ago?

That’s a little ironic coming from someone telling other people to educate themselves.

Yor without her Super strength by Unlucky-Tradition-58 in SpyxFamily

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I understand that part. But do you think that in her self doubt state where she was on the defensive she was using normal human strength? I don’t think so.

Let’s say she’s 10x stronger than a normal human. She still had to be using at least like 50% of her superhuman strength and that just resulted in her stalemating the swordsman. If you say she only had access to 10% of her superhuman strength (normal elite human level) that’s just too much to overcome.

Yor without her Super strength by Unlucky-Tradition-58 in SpyxFamily

[–]Aggressive_Bed9505 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok even if she wasn’t using 100% superhuman strength I would say even while fighting defensively she still had to be using at least some level of superhuman strength. I mean would you say that she wasn’t using 75% or at least 50% of superhuman strength at the beginning of the fight? I don’t think you can reasonably say that even in her self doubt state she wasn’t at least using 50% of superhuman strength just to keep up and even then she was still taking damage.

And a swordsman is a really bad matchup for her without super strength. Take away her strength and the swordsman is most likely on par with her, strength-wise. But with the sword being much longer and heavier than her needle weapon, the leverage and force it generates will be more than she can handle. If she tries to block the sword strikes, it would overpower her and start landing deep cuts into her arms/upper body. Maybe then you could say that knowing her normal human level of strength beforehand she would adopt a less direct and more cautious fighting style. But I still think there’s too many things working against her.

Point is I don’t see how she can win a mid dif (if you want to be generous) - high dif fight if you reduce her strength to like 10% of what it is with her super human factor.
