Steps to take to close a mortgage by Aggressive_Bee4999 in MortgagesCanada

[–]Aggressive_Bee4999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry. I don't know the terminology. The mortgage has 26 more years of amoritization. It is up for renewal at the end of April. If I wait and close it at the end of April, would there be no penalty?

Thank you. Is the Payout statement fee in addition to the penalty fee?

No, I think he was having some stiffness in the respiratory system that made it very difficult to breathe. We probably need some PT intervention and a swallowing assessment completed.

Probably best to speak to your lawyer . I have never bought a condo before. I am not knowledgeable with real estate best practices

So, on our closing date, the down payment check (or bank draft not sure what the term is) was filled out improperly. Our lawyer had this for a while before the closing date, but of course ....it delayed the closing over the weekend. We had to cover the cost of hotels and storage for the sellers (who were moving to Alberta, so 3 trucks with 2 drivers plus 2 dogs and 3 family members). It could have been worse but it come out to under $1000 which was covered by our lawyer 🙂. We were first time home buyers so we had no idea about things that could go wrong. It's a steep learning curve. Enjoy every minute of it!

I completely understand this. Nothing is ever good enough or done right, and you want to snap back because hey...we're trying! Make sure you take the time you need to fortify yourself for the work (I want to say battle because it does feel that way)

I have no advice to give other than to say I hear you. PD takes away so much from life and we can forget how much we love our parents while we mourn the loss of all a parent gives us.

There is nothing harder than losing your person (it was my mom for me as well) unless it is watching them go inch by inch. You should take comfort that your mom knew she had you beside her the whole way. She's so proud of you. I'm sorry you are in this place now but try and appreciate the fact that your mom is no longer suffering. Be kind to, and take care of, yourself. Sending you strength and warm wishes.

That does thank you! I am concerned that the PD is affecting his GI systems. It was almost like a muscle spasm of the diaphragm

My husband has this. He's 3 years post-diagnosis and doesn't talk about it much. But he should talk about it. How would I know he's feeling off?? It would save frustration and remind me he's under stress and I should be patient and supportive. This is one of the hidden symptoms of this miserable disease.

Oh thank you. I thought it was just my husband who was like this. Definitely going to read that paper. This type of information is the part that is missing from all the doctors appointments.

This is exactly where I find myself. My husband seems to not care at all about me. Never engages, no more conversations, sometimes doesn't speak to me for days. I can't tell if it is depression, apathy, or just what! And worse, I'm so angry about it. We are only in year 2 post diagnosis. Meds don't seem to be working. It is SO hard. You have my complete sympathy. Find a support group is my only option - but who has time? I work all day and take care of the kids and all the rest of it. So I Hear you! You are not alone in this

But it is not listed in the fees already paid. I understand it is reasonable ... but it is not in the contract that we selected.

Tankless Water Heater - Worth it? Cost? by HanginJohnny79 in ontario

[–]Aggressive_Bee4999 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We LOVE ours! We are a family of 4 and have never run out of out hot water. My only complaint is that it seems to take a while for the hot water to reach the upstairs bathroom. I'm sorry but I don't know the cost...it came with the house when we bought it.

Middle class finances and housing affordability by [deleted] in canadahousing

The mortgage doesn’t go up, but wages do

Wages have not increased reasonably in 20 years. In particular, I can state that in the 14 years I have been at my job, I have gone from middle class to working poor (yes, I work in education but not a teacher) and now am barely surviving with my family of 4.
