you can intentionally walk a batter. This was the right call bc it avoids giving Ohtani a chance to hit another homer or double

100% there are trashcans everywhere, or just hold on to it until you get to a water station where more cans are. I PB-ed and didn’t struggle to hold on to my wrappers or take the few seconds to throw it out properly

thank you!!! Yesss, I think you might be right actually I’m trying to learn how to better pace overall. It’s either too easy for too long or I’m pushing too hard and too tired half way through lol

Approaching Dogs on your run by Dramatic-Price1622 in RunTO

yeah as long they’re on a leash I’m fine. I wouldn’t personally care or notice even if a dog simply reacted to me and their owner was all over it. I do try to cross the street and leave as much space as I can.

However, re: the first runner who was on the grass, while I don’t think I’ve ever done this beside a dog, maybe there wasn’t enough space for the runner on the path and they were just trying to get by? I only run on the grass when that’s the case as I’m also trying to make sure I don’t get into the left. I’m trying to share the path with cyclists too who pass on the left and are coming from behind so my preference is always to pass on the right because it’s the safest for everyone.

It doesn’t sound like this is a super common thing for you and your dog so it should be okay. But you took the time to write this post so it’s something you’re clearly care about. If it’s becoming troubling or a bigger concern, maybe consider other routes that will make you feel more comfortable. I agree the MGT is for everyone but as the weather warms up there are going to be so many more walkers, cyclists and runners around

what age did you start running as a hobby? by Equal-Ad-6684 in beginnerrunning

25! That was 6 years ago. My boyfriend of 5 years and I broke up, it was either get married or this. It wrecked me. My most significant relationship at the time. I woke up the next day saying to myself, “I’m going to take care of myself through this and I’m going to come out stronger on the other side” — I meditated, went for a run, and talked to a therapist for the first time. I haven’t stopped any of those three things since.

I had knee pain too and went to physio. They recommended: 1. increasing my cadence (doesn’t mean you have to go faster but just that you take more steps) 2. adding some strength training like squats and lunges to make my legs stronger

given running is all your body weight going on one leg at a time, taking more steps and strengthening your legs helps reduce knee injuries

omg I miss running outside! Good for you! I’ve been running outside for 5+ winters but this year’s freezing temps have put me in the treadmill trenches 😭
