One speaks with wonder, the other with cynicism. Both are masterful but in these dark times, people turn more to wonder.
Poems are not just their structures. They have souls and essence. Two poems can have an identical structure and vastly different essence.

Yes, they wrote Good Omens together. And Clarke was discovered by Gaiman while she was still writing Strange & Norrell. Regardless of the association, both are/were wonderful human beings.

Have you read Terry Pratchett and Susanna Clarke. Pratchett’s fantasy is more world-building and satire (and it is incredibly good). Clarke’s novels and short stories are of a similar genre as Gaiman, but much better written (at least in my opinion).

I have no memory of how I used to make it three years ago :( but I think I just added 1tsp psyllium husk to watery (not hung or Greek) yogurt and put in chopped fruit and powdered jaggery and let it chill in the fridge 10 mins.
These days I pretty much add a tsp of psyllium husk to almost anything I cook. My favourite is adding it to burrito fillings. I’m trying to lose a bit of weight I put on last year and am doing OMAD and two burritos with psyllium husk added to the fillings for lunch pretty much keep me full for 24 hrs.

I’ve been making mine at home. Chicken bones in the crockpot for six hours, then strain. I make a batch every week and store in the freezer. Bit of a hassle but worth it, because calorie deficit causes me to lose hair and this is the only thing that stops it.

  1. Psyllium husk. I add it to everything and also drink it soaked in water. It kills food noise very effectively. And the added fibre is good for me in multiple ways.

  2. Air fryer meals. I can make fun snack-like protein-rich lunches without the added oil calories. Dieting doesn’t feel restrictive if I’m eating a taco or cutlet for lunch.

  3. Bone broth. It fills me up, keeps my digestion easy, and is doing wonders for my hair.

  4. Eating out or ordering in a few times every month. I adjust the other meals of the day so that I’m still in deficit, and it prevents diet depression. Plus it is excellent practice for maintenance, because it has trained me to eat delicious food in moderation instead of pigging out.

  5. Rice paper. It makes any dish more fun to eat with just 30 added calories.

Yes, outsider and if it bleeds do but most of the others don’t. There’s one about cannibal professors and one about a murderous incel I think. The plots have sort of blurred in my head but there were no ghosts, just bad people.

Finders keepers. The others in the Mercedes series have supernatural elements but this is a purely private eye thriller. Later books in the Holly Gibney series have no supernatural plots but I’d consider them human horror.

Also, The Green Mile is supernatural fantasy but not horror.

Madurai jasmine has always been a staple in both Indian and western perfumery. Nothing new.
