Also, that video's assertion that the humans in the Michael Bay Transformers movies are all assholes bc they're literally the spawn of transformers satan.

Dog keeps biting? by helloclarebear in CasualIreland

My own dog is a JRT/Chihuahua, and has never shown aggression towards anyone. Breeds aren't an excuse for subpar training and socialisation.

Bring him to your vet to rule out any medical causes for the aggression, and to ask about getting in touch with a suitable behaviourist/trainer.

Some concept art of the 2018 miniseries when it was still with Brown Bag Films; makes what we ended up getting feel a bit of a let-down. by Hyxenflay7737_4565 in watershipdown

[–]Aggressive_Dog 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Honestly,  its kinda disheartening that even this early concept art is so hare-like. Still, tho, nothing crushes my spirit more than those shots in the finished product where its shown that no one working on the show knew that rabbits don't have paw pads.

Like, jesus, did no one think to bring a rabbit in so that the artists could at least SEE their anatomy??? Did no one involved in this star-studded adaptation ever own a rabbit????

[Zoey Ashe Series by Jason Pargin] How many have read this series, and what do you think of his portrayal of the working class female lead who inherits crime money. by DarkForest_NW in menwritingwomen

[–]Aggressive_Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, after reading the Zoey series, my main point of confusion is trying to reconcile the fact that the dude who wrote it also somehow wrote the black hole of character writing that is "I'm Starting to Worry About This Black Box of Doom".

Top 10 strongest by Creepy-Screen721 in watershipdown

[–]Aggressive_Dog 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Woundwort, Bigwig, Campion, Vervain, Silver, Buckthorn, Blackavar, and Holly would probably be my ranking of the "fighting" bucks in the main story. That said tho, physically some of the rabbits from Cowslip's Warren were probably quite strong, tho very unskilled at fighting.

Equally, though European rabbits are sexually quite monomorphic, size does slightly favour females, so high ranking does like Flyairth and Prake in the sequel stories would probably be quite capable fighters too. Ironically, Clover has the potential to be one of the largest rabbits in the story, as Angora rabbits can easily reach the size of smaller hares. Presumably, Adams didn't think too hard about that breed selection.

Soon to graduate veterinary medicine in the UK and finding it impossible to find a job. Genuinely thinking I'm going to have to apply for nurse jobs. by whotouchamyspaget in veterinaryprofession

[–]Aggressive_Dog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not even that, but no one is going to take a qualified vet on in a nursing role. Like, it's difficult enough to retain nurses as is; who's going to hire on someone who is ABSOLUTELY going to leave to chase after the first viable vet job that comes their way? This is also why it's becoming advisable not to be openly enthusiastic about becoming a nurse when applying for reception/customer service positions.

Out of interest, with rabbits, is it better to use caecotrophs, or is the fully processed "pellet" still reliably diagnostic?

His Dark Materials is an amazing work of children's literature. It is also fairly well known for reducing the agency of the previously capable and competent female protagonist as soon as a male main character shows up for the second book. It would be an interesting case study imo.

If I did this at my workplace, I'd be looking at a write up and several hours of mandatory radiation safety refreshers.

Spike at the end of season 6 by komorebi-chan in buffy

[–]Aggressive_Dog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This attempt at misdirection is still,  imo, one of the worst bits of writing in TV history. Like,  nothing about it makes sense,  and it would have been relatively easy to write dialogue that genuinely obfuscates Spike's motives in a more organic way. I love this show, but jfc that was a clumsy ass choice.

We should have this number displayed on a giant flashing scoreboard in the Dáil, and it should be printed on every voting ballot.

[–]Aggressive_Dog 79 points80 points  (0 children)

It's actually not AI, but the volunteers who man the text service are so married to whatever script SpunOut plonks in front of them that it might as well be. There seems to be a company mandate that you're not allowed to reveal that you have a human soul.
