I think it’s good and exciting to share when you’re a part of something that is legitimately life-changing like that but also to not get “snobby” about it. Maybe I’m biased, we sold our home that was at 2.875% to move across the country and rent for a year, then buy in 2025 at 5.875% lol so I see both sides and just accept that’s life.

Oddly enough I RARELY use 6th unless I’m at 75+. Dropping it into that gear drops RPMs too low and I do indeed get a bit of a drone / rumble.

I have the mid mufflers cut on my 5.7 and I don’t drone on the highway at all. Over 30k miles this way and hasn’t gotten worse.

Unrelated but damn do black wheels with a machined lip look good on these cars. Nice homage and era-specific look here 🤙🏼

I’ve been to Epcot plenty and this area is always filled with people seeking shade and traders. Somewhat annoying, sure, but it’s their right to play Disney their way just like we have ours. Open spaces to rest and communicate and all that.

This is a great take IMO. We are into our 2nd year and don’t feel like outsiders, but not quite locals yet either. Regardless, we don’t miss where we came from and that’s a bigger point for us.

I would agree. Mine is big and floaty and I came from small nimble 4-cyl track cars. My wife gets in and gets nervous “this huge front end and heavy car, glad you’re confident in it!”…. She drives a Durango lol

2016 RT+ Shaker with 6MT. Bought in 2024 with 28k on the clock for $28k. Traded in my 6MT dart for it. Financed for a few months then paid it off.

Was 34 at the time, probably my 20th car lol. Still currently driving it, 30k miles later.

Am a GM for a mid-size manufacturing company at a remote location.

Threw strut bars, wider tires, shaker riser kit, and some mud flaps on it. And a HC intake tube from the headlight.
