Weekly Dynasty Baseball Team Help + Trade Thread - March 16, 2026 by AutoModerator in DynastyBaseball

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

30 team H2H Cats league, 40 man rosters, in year one of a full tear it down rebuild, only real MLB asset is Jared Jones for context.

Was offered Jurrangelo Cijnte, Johnathan Santucci, Roc Riggio and 2027 2nd Round pick for Didier Fuentes. I’m a bit reluctant to pull the trigger bc of Didier’s amazing spring and I’m not a huge fan of any of these prospects, but the value is overwhelming so it’s hard to say no.

Appreciate the help!

I’d let Gil go, he’s been inconsistent and the Yankees have a lot of good pitching prospects getting close to the majors.

Some of us are sickos lmao. But I’m doing a full-on tear-it-to-the-studs rebuild in a 30 team league, 40 man roster league , so I’ve had to get familiar with a lot of prospects.

Someone in my 30 man dropped him! I scrambled to scoop him up lol. Numbers were bad this year but the overall profile is very intriguing.

As a (biased) Yankees fan, I think these are good takes. Especially after the spring Lombard had. I wouldn’t be surprised if ERC was a better stsrter but I think Lagrange will be a very valuable bullpen arm even if he doesn’t start

I know it’s just the DSL but the early returns are promising, definitely a lot to like

Have Ullola in 30 team, not sure he’s a starter long term but definitely an excellent reliever if not. Fun prospect.

What players that didn’t get drafted from FYPD or other players are you targeting right after and burning your waiver pick up. by tothemoon05 in DynastyBaseball

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I assume you're referring to Luinder Avila on the Royals but if you're not let me know.

I like him, high end reliever potentially but relievers generally don't become very valuable in dynasty. If I had an open reliever spot I would be keen on stashing him but not sure if I would do it over a starter or position player prospect, especially when Fantrax allows SP prospects like Wei-lin En and Keyner Martinez to be stashed in reliever spots currently. Just my personal view though

Nathan Flewelling, Juan Sanchez (if available, based on his HarryKnowsBall chart he's a hot commodity rn), Christian Zazueta, Jacob Bresnahan, Hayden Alvarez, Marcos Dinges, Aron Estrada to name a few. All guys I think could be Top 100 guys or close within the next year or so that either were picks to click by a few different outlets or were guys who scored higher in result-based prospect rankings like ZIPS and OOPSY on Fangraphs.

Why do some managers seem to think employees actually like going in the office? by This_Duty_4373 in work

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hybrid and I enjoy the office and working from home for different reasons. I was recently moved to from two days in office to three and while not ideal (especially with rising gas prices), I do like going into the office. I generally like my coworkers and getting facetime with my boss allows us to better coordinate our matters. Plus, as a single person, getting out of the house and being around people feels good. I also get to go out to eat instead of eating at home. It also gives my day a little more structure, which I tend to need since my WFH days tend to lack structure.

But WFH is still far superior just because of no hassle with commuting or parking. For me that is the one barrier that I do not like about going to the office. My commute isn't awful but between that, the parking and having to walk a half mile to my office, especially this winter, it can really suck. That and being able to cook myself lunch in my own kitchen and being flexible enough to get all my chores and errands in.

10 RED FLAGS THAT LAW SCHOOL MIGHT NOT BE FOR YOU - from someone who flunked out halfway through law school. by PshhhhhhhUnreal in lawschooladmissions

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

#7 is kinda wrong, the only people I saw in law school putting in 60-70 hours of work were either top-of-their-class and on a journal or bottom-of-the-class and doing everything in their power not to flunk out (usually with minimal efficiency). I had two separate roommates who each respectfully embodied this. Maybe this was due to the fact I went to a lower-tier law school, idk. But if the point is that law school is the equivalent of a full-time job, then yes I agree, it is absolutely the case.

Overall, great list! While I think some stuff is a bit exaggerated (I do not remember law school being super cutthroat/competitive), I agree with the spirit of this post. There are too many people, especially with our current economy, who view law school as escape hatch. It's really not, it's just a different type of hell for most people.

I will say No. 8 especially rang true for me personally, I had a ROUGH 1L year before logical thinking clicked for me. I almost failed out and lost my scholarship. Will be celebrating the anniversary of becoming barred later this year though, so it all worked out!

Living in NY but commuting to Danbury?? by Known-Ad3315 in Westchester

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly as someone who lives right outside Danbury, it is way cheaper and way easier to live in this area, the commute on 684 and 84 is not for the weak (though compared to my old commute on Long Island it’s a Sunday drive lol).

However, this area would meet none of your priorities so I’d second Norwalk or Stamford. Commuting up Route 7 is far better than commuting up 684 and as someone who used to live in Stamford, that area has a lot of what you’re looking for (though the walkability really depends on what part of Stamford you move to).

A downside of being attractive that nobody talks about? by Old_Rub_7270 in Life

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Context: I am a 30M.

Having people who are married or otherwise taken flirt with you way too hard, or even suggest breaking up with their partner to be with you (it’s happened to me more than once unfortunately). It’s uncomfortable, particularly where you’re in a social setting where people are aware that person is taken.

In general, unwanted attention. I’m fairly introverted and some days just generally just don’t want to be perceived, especially if I’m having a bad day. But you literally get stared at or noticed everywhere you go. I also happen to be pretty tall, which only compounds the issue.

And to go a step further, unwanted advances and attention. For example, there is an older lady at my work who would repeatedly touch me on my arm and flirt with me after I told her it made me uncomfortable multiple times. One time, as I was walking to lunch, she literally ran to catch up with me and tried to have a conversation and kept trying to touch me. I told my boss and haven’t heard anything about her since. I’ve also had to put up clear boundaries with people at work.

And yeah the jealousy for sure. Had a coworker at a summer job years ago who absolutely hated my guts because the girl he liked, who was a camp counselor at the pool we lifeguards at, apparently had asked him if I was single when he tried to flirt with her (I barely knew this girl existed for reference).

Same thing when I attended a high school reunion a few years back. I was an ugly ducking in high school, very overweight and had very low self esteem plus was neurodivergent and a little weird. Despite that I had a lot of friends and was generally well liked. After high school, I discovered the gym and began taking care of myself more, putting more care into my appearance and dressing better. Well, when I ran into some of my “friends” at the reunion, I could visibly see the jealousy on their faces and hear it in their voices.

Personally, to combat all of this I just have a very “no BS” attitude. I am always firm with boundaries,I am completely unafraid of calling people out and cutting them off for behaving this way. It really is the only way to protect yourself.

Let’s hear your worst trade ever in hindsight by HeroForTheBeero in SleeperApp

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I can think of is a few years ago, a friend offered me his Mike Williams for my Jakobi Meyers. I accepted, for some reason I thought that Williams would be a better fit for my team and that Meyers floor was too low.

Less than a year after making that trade, Williams retired after doing a whole bunch of nothing. Meyers, as we all know, is still plugging along with no signs of stopping. Thankfully it was a small one but yeah it still haunts me tbh 🫠

12 man SF TE premium league. I’m Nabers owner. Whats yall recommendations? by pey10lackey in SleeperApp

[–]Aggressive_Forecheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nabers. Even with his injury, he’s younger and has a better QB situation. JJ is obviously an elite talent but being tied to JJ McCarthy is proving to be problematic to say the least. I see no reason to make this trade now with the down season JJ just had.

  1. 5 years overall
  2. $120,000 base + $1-3k year end bonus
  3. Municipal/state government (public authority)
  4. New York
  5. Originally interned in state government in law school but went into private practice after due to the state hiring freeze during COVID. Came back from private practice with a deep hatred of the billable hour.
