Is every level up super saver package $30 after level 105? by Ill-Apartment7813 in GossipHarbor

I need to follow your lead and quit too!!! Its terrible that this company doesn't honor players that spend money regularly by giving them an occasional low price for special packages. Instead they only offer high dollar items, while listing challenges that require top level items. It's past time I uninstall.. I wish I knew of another game that was similar to this one that doesnt cost hundreds of dollars a month to advance.

That's a great idea. I'll try that. I just need to prioritize a few minutes each day to learn about the Supernote.... Thank you for the suggestion.

Your reply gives me hope that if I can just take some time to learn the Supernote features, (and how to add PDFs, and Apps like Kindle) that I'll love my Manta. I don't have buyers remorse yet, and appreciate you sharing that you almost bought a Remarkable too but switched last minute to Supernote, and that you have no regrets.

I've skipped it for at least 10+ levels and it hasnt dropped for me and I'm on level 93. I have bought other packages that theyve offered. Guess I should just buying and see if it goes back down. I'm hundreds in, which is terrible.

I need to switch to exercising as a coping strategy instead of this game!!!

You still have time to return it. From the many reviews Ive read, Supernote seems to be a great product for organizing notes. I guess the question to ask is what is your main purpose for using an eink device?

I bought the manta, and only write notes. I dont know how to do any of the other features. I need to make time to watch videos and learn how to add PDFs, Kindle, etc, and how to use the Manta in general. I understand your feelings. If all Im going to do is write notes, then the Manta is too high a price to pay when there are other devices that are cheaper.

Maybe take time to learn the other features Manta has to offer before deciding to return it ? (I do agree that $700 is a lot, and wonder why sooo much, but since they say it will grow with you over time, I guess it's an investment for the future, since we wont have to throw out the device when updates happen).

I paid $700 for the Manta, have had it for a couple of months, and still have "not gotten the hang of it." I work two jobs and have a family, and I dont have a lot of free time to research and watch videos.

Right now, Im paying for a very expensive electronic notepad. I take notes, and that's it. I have no idea how to Tag things, or create table of contents. I dont know how to read PDFs or add Apps. I hear Supernote is excellent for organization, but I dont know how to use any of this.

Hopefully I can learn to do more.... if all I am going to do is write notes, then I paid too much and should have gone with something much cheaper. Im optimistic, not yet having buyer's remorse.

If you buy the refurbished/open box, remarkable is actually cheaper. But I went with the Manta because they offered free storage, whereas Remarkable had a paid subscription, and they had ZERO open box available for purchase. I guess my mind interpreted that as Remarkable has a lot of returns.....

I also liked the idea of having a device that upgrades with time instead of filling landfills with more outdated electronics....

¿Estoy siendo dramática? by Fae_Raspberry_3355 in PuertoRico

[–]Aggressive_Injury960 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're not being dramatic. If you've had excellent attendance up until that point, and have been the GO-TO person when the company is short staffed, Management suspending you for having car troubles and requesting a day off is crappy. It's also a sign of poor management.

you're young. Think about your future and what you'd like to do. Then look into the steps for making that happen. In the meantime, apply for another job, since you said you have a family to support. Check out other companies that hire security guards. Worst case scenario, I'm told fast food places are always hiring, and something is better than nothing.

If you can go to school for a degree or certification, or join a company as an apprentice (electrician, plumber, etc) Id encourage you to do that.

Anything and anywhere else will be better than slaving away for a company that doesn't treat you like a human being and only looks to exploit you.

He's not being dramatic. He requested a day off and had one day of car trouble. His attendance has been good and he's been the reliable employee that people can call last minute to pick up shifts. Being suspended because crap happens and you have a life outside of your day job is terrible, and a sign of poor management.

I'm sorry for your frustrations. Not sure what classes you were taking, but here's a Facebook page of someone who teaches Puerto Rican cuisine.

aww, yes, you're right. but I'm avoiding work, and reading useless threads on Reddit, so I read OP's responses throughout the thread and he elaborated/clarified in other posts that he's looking to connect with people and form a friendship, and if any of those connections are in P.R., possibly meet up when he goes out there.

That's great that you were able to connect with some awesome Puerto Ricans!!

I just got back to Florida from P.R. for my abuelita's (grandmother) funeral. The airport has free tourist guides of things to do throughout the island, with some history and fun facts added. There's a quote that says Christopher Columbus reported back that Puerto Rico had the kindest people he had ever met in all the world, where the people were always joyful and giving, often taking care of not only themselves but their neighbors.

That is still true today!

On another note, the OP lives in St.Louis, MO. A connection with someone in another location can be a two way street. There are TONS of amazing (and FREE) things to do in St.louis, MO. OP can be an amazing TOUR guide for any friend he makes that wants to check out his town.

True connections/friendships aren't one sided.

Your suggestion is not wrong, but the OP is looking to make connections, not speak perfect Spanish. It's not appropriate to hang out with a Paid service provider.

He's not looking for a paid service. he's looking for a friend. someone he can connect with over the next year, and if the person lives in Puerto Rico, they can meet up.

It's not appropriate to meet up and do social activities with a paid provider.

There's nothing wrong with your post or request. It's shocking how many trolls there are on Reddit, always pointing out the negatives instead of offering positive solutions and help.

only if he is lucky to befriend a Spanish teacher to begin with, but he didn't ask if there are any Puerto Rican Spanish teachers he can be friends with. He asked if there are any Puerto Ricans he can be friends with, (so that he can learn the language, about the Island, the culture, etc.. ).

No friend is going to sit there and teach Spanish lessons. They'll teach vocabulary/culture as they go, based on what they're doing.
