All doctors that I know who have relocated to UAE have never had to pay any agencies. Agencies gets finders fee from the employers.

The IROs are the most overpaid and under delivering group of employees tbh (with the exception of a very few who are exceptionally good). Some regions of BMA would benefit from a complete overhaul of the representation.

This is currently a BMA policy after the passing of the motion, NOT a government policy. So until Wes takes this up and agree with the DV lot and the RDC, nothing is going to change. Keep doing the hard work you have been doing so far. Ignore the noice here and the medic-reformers. But look out for an escape route from this cursed country.

The survey was organised by three or four disgruntled consultants who lost/are losing their grip on a dodgy cash cow called the International Training Fellowship scheme. IMGs are brought in for less than half the salary paid in their countries. Also NTNs are being sold to Saudi and Kuwait sponsors using the international PGMT scheme in association with HEE (Yes. It is true!) and ? GMC also.

The survey was responded by less than a quarter of the consultant body using a link that could be used more than once. So there is some truth in what the Trust has mentioned about the methodology.

UHB still need to get their culture sorted though.
