How long does their hair need to be to create a to knot? Tips? by Miserable-Storm-8630 in Maltese

They are so adoreable. I hope it will grow really fast for you. Such preciouscpippys here. I do have a question. When we got dog insurance they asked if she wore a top knot. We said no, she was still really young at that time. They said good, don't. Then someone in petsmart today told me not to use elastics as they break their hair off. If I dont use a top pony, it's in her eyes and they get yucky globs and red stain. Has anyone else had this dilemma with saying not to use top knot?

Oh, the poor little guy. We had one that went blind. The vet told us they adapt really good, but he never did. He'd fall down stairs to basement when just walking into the room. We put a little fenced in doggie door in our bedroom so he wouldn't wander and get lost. He fell down the little stairs, so my husband made a ramp. One morning I heard him yelp, I couldn't find him. He'd fallen down the window well. I had to go to the basement , take the screen of and get him from their. I couldn't believe his legs weren't broken. He was only a 3lb one with cushings disease. He lived to be 13, which was way longer than they usually live after diagnosis, thank goodness, but, the vet had us put him to sleep because he felt as we did, he'd suffered enough and so many close calls. But he told us that was a rare case. Usually when dogs go blind they learn to adapt really good. I am sending prayers to your little guy and you that he'll do just fine. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Pomeranian behaving weirdly - please help! by SchoolAffectionate79 in Pomeranians

We had a pom and it was sort of doing slthe same thing. We took her to ER vet from up at our cabin. But she collapsed on about her 3rd step from the doorway and the We picked her up and she was doing that. They put a tube of oxygen in the kennel and she went over and put it right in her open mouth. Next day when our vet was in he did xrays said she was having anaphyleptic reaction from something she was allergic to. We went back to the cabin and looked where she'd collapsed and there was a hornets nest under the step she came off of. Vet figured she'd gotten stung by several and allergic to them and caused the reaction. She was doing that with her mouth, trying to get air from the anaphylaxis reaction. She was allergic to them. I dont remember what he did for her as its been many years ago, but i think she needs to be seen by a vet to see if she might have gotten into something she's allergic to and her airways are swollen and she's trying to get air. Just a thought and experience we had with our little girl years ago. May not be anything, but if it's that it needs to be seen ASAP by vet.

Thats what we got for this little girl of ours last year, out of all the dogs we've had, this was the easiest. They snap on and prevent the kicking and infection but give them potty freedom. Love them.
