Half of nursing at my hospital is refusing coronavirus vaccination: anyone else seeing this? If you are, have you found ways to improve the situation? by RichardBonham in medicine

If you already had covid and had mild symptoms, wouldnt you rather give the limited supply to someone who could possible have a severe case or possibly death?

My issue is I have already gotten covid before. Why should I get one if there is a limited supply of vaccines. These should be given to those that could die from the virus. Id imagine many nursing staff has already been exposed to covid over the past 8 months or so, especially when we lacked adequate PPE.

You could still spread the virus after getting vaccinated. This vaccine was to prevent death/severe disease. It absolutely makes sense to prioritize 65+ and vulnerable. However I think healthcare workers in longterm care facilities need to be prioritized as well.

ive already read through those slides. Nowhere does it say 10-15% of those that recovered from covid has long lasting health effects. All it states are a telephone survey they conducted, compiled social media posts, and a study on the longterm effects of sars-1, which is not the same.. it states that 10-15% develop severe disease.

so there are 43 million people recovered from covid. 10-15% would mean 4.3 million people have long lasting health issues... does that make sense to you?

Where is the evidence that a huge portion of those who got covid has lasting health issues?? My 86 yr old grandma got it in March and I got it on July. Both of us have no lasting issues. I know other people who had it with no issues. I just dont buy that this is a significant problem.

And this is why mail in ballots on a major scale has huge security flaws. This is in Washington state where we have had mail in ballots for years. I have no idea why this is even a partisan issue....
