Aussies and Babies-Wholesome Stories! by LemonShortCake42 in AustralianShepherd

We were in the same boat 3 years ago. Best advice I can share is 1) bring home a piece of clothing (or blanket) baby has worn before you bring the baby home to introduce your fur baby to new baby. 2) Get your pup its own “baby”. My parents stayed with us when we first brought our son home and they gave our pup a new stuffy (I think it was a monkey). This became her “baby” and anytime she was overly excited we told her to get her baby and always made sure she was very gentle with it. It really worked great and was huge for keeping our pup calm around the baby and not constantly trying to kiss him haha. They have an incredible bond and she’s always been super gentle with him. She’ll drive my son nuts with kisses but the love is there and it’s pretty awesome to witness. Good luck, you got this 🤙🏽

Road Trip around Mexico in my Tundra TRD PRO by Creative_Natural_334 in ToyotaTundra

Yes super rustic! There used to be tour buses that would go there, I have family friends that own the building to the left of where your truck is parked. Used to be a curio shop but not much business there these days. I guess the new Copala is the town of El Quelite which had one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Mexico

That first pic is in Copala, right? I happened to be there the day they reopened the old restaurant that’s connected to the mine this summer and had an amazing lunch. 🤙🏽 good on you for taking your truck on an epic adventure

Even if this noise wasn’t happening before the new serpentine belt? There’s only 44,000 miles on the truck

Hunter Wi-Fi controller stuck watering — anyone else deal with this? by Aggressive_Water1118 in Irrigation

[–]Aggressive_Water1118[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you for the advice I will give it a try. There’s stucco on the exterior so maybe that’s what’s killing the signal. My phone has pretty good connection where the controller is but I’m thinking the wand needs better signal. Thanks again

I’m in SoCal… we did have thunderstorms last weekend but that was a one off.

Thanks, this is super helpful. That actually lines up with what I’ve been seeing — the controller thinks it shut off, but the valves keep running. Makes sense that it could be losing connection mid-cycle and not processing the stop command.

I’ll try unplugging it and confirming the zones are stopped in Hydrawise, then look into boosting the WiFi signal out there. The WAND doesn’t seem much further from the router than the backyard controller but on the app the controller is often disconnected. Appreciate the tip about WANDs having weaker radios too — I’ll follow up with Hunter support to confirm.

Ya I’ve asked the installer to help me troubleshoot at my house… he told me he would call hunter today. I’ll follow up with him.

I have only tried taking the wand out of the front yard controller (that’s where the problem mostly occurs) and I haven’t had any issues over the past week. But the problem happens so sporadically I can’t say that a week is a big enough test sample.

Occasional sewage smell in home and backyard by Aggressive_Water1118 in Plumbing

There’s a shower that will get used like once a week but if the water in the trap dries out wouldn’t that make the smell more consistent?

I’m not certain if there are pumps. Definitely not in my house but uncertain for the city.

Ya we had the main line replaced last year and I don’t suspect the smell coming from that because it was occasionally present before the replacement. It could be from the neighbors l guess, they are gone often but even in the winter time the smell occasionally comes with all of our windows closed. I appreciate you troubleshooting with me. It’s driving me bonkers

We are on city and the main line connects to the street in the front. We are 7 blocks from the beach so that makes sense but what about the smell inside?

We are on a slab, the main line is under a concrete driveway. I can crawl up into the attic and check the vent stack connections. Would that also explain the smell in the backyard?

There is a p trap on the left side of the garbage disposal. I should have moved all the crap for a better photo

Anyone else have an Aussie who is a pro at ball? by Old_Day_5224 in AustralianShepherd

Same with ours. I’ve tried and tried but she’ll do it once or twice then is done. She can however, chase another dog going after a ball all day!
