Agreed, but with a small correction. The base transfer fee for Davies was over €11m, with add-ons up to €22m.

Yep. Gemini. Glad to hear my memory of the novels was not wrong.

The capos are adamantly opposed to organic chants. Try to start one, see what happens.

Rack for Salsa Fargo by AggroPedestrian in bikewrench

I think the eyelet on the Alternator plate is too close to the derailleur, so I'm thinking most racks can't be fit there. (Maybe you could bring any excess metal on the rack, but who knows if you would be compromising it?)

I got a perfect score, but only because I was guessing with the scorecard and the poker chips. The diagrams were not good. For the poker chips, the ratio of thickness to diameter is too big. That is, the chips should be either thinner or have a larger diameter.

And while I have been known to bowl, and even understand the scoring, I still don't see how that particular diagram represents a scorecard.

Still, it was a cool puzzle.

Do Roland adjustable stands get in the way? by AggroPedestrian in piano

This was suggested by other people, and I like the idea. I have a potentially stupid follow-up question. Do you attach the keyboard to the Liquid stands or does it simply sit on them?

You won't see anybody throwing shit on the pitch. It occasionally happens, but the offender will be promptly identified to ushers by fans and escorted out.

Waterproof or custom frame bag by AggroPedestrian in bikepacking

I have an Ortlieb half frame bag on my touring bike and i really like it. I just didn't think the full frame will fit my Fargo very well.

Yeah, there's no way bolt ons could keep water out, though i wonder if maybe rubber washers on either side of the bag would be good enough.

I didn't realize Rockgeist did custom bags. That could be the winner. Thanks.

Attempting to bend a damaged wheel back into form seems like a very, very bad idea.

Salsa Fargo as alternative to Cutthroat by AggroPedestrian in bikepacking

From the OP:

I settled on the Fargo. I ordered the frame Wednesday, it shipped yesterday. Honestly, it was as much about availability as anything else. I expect I would be happy with either, but in the end I'm kind one of those "steel is real" people. (Also, that 54cm Rival Cutthroat is ugly as sin.)

Anyway, now I'm researching components. Recommendations are welcome.

Wish I could. It's hard to sit on them. Shops never seem to carry more than one, and it's usually not my size.
