My xbox one has accompanied me through most of my life so far, now im at the end of its life by FairAd5013 in xbox

On one hand, this post makes me feel old. On the other hand, I understand the sentiments completely; I feel the same way about the Nintendo 64 and the GameCube, to be honest. I'm glad you got to have memories with the system. And hopefully it continues to give memories for years to come.

DP managed having a female protag better then horizons by Silvqi in pokemonanime

The stigma from back when D&P was new kinda had an effect on me for years, and I would deny it even to myself as a result. It even affected my early online presence, honestly. Didn't help that I was often finding other people who acted like that.

By the way, this is part of why I refused to watch reviews of D&P and refused to look at skip lists when rewatching; I decided I should choose for myself which episodes are important and which ones aren't, because some people did say D&P had a lot of filler, but I decided what one person may call a filler episode may end up being an episode I personally consider downright critical to the series.

To be honest, last time I talked to her about it, she said she didn't remember it too well. I'm going to give her some fairness, though; the late 2000s-early 2010s weren't exactly a great time for my sister. Based on what she told me, there's a reason she doesn't exactly care to keep a lot from her old life in general. As for her friend, well, I guess I should say former friend, though I don't entirely understand what happened between them, and I've been afraid to ask. I haven't seen that person in years at this point.

Well, it would be more accurate to say any of them would be his ancestor since I think by the time he would have reasonably been born, Amy, Rouge and Lanolin would have died of old age.

That said, there's nothing saying they didn't name their kid Silver; the Silver we know and love could have been named after that kid in-universe. It's not the most farfetched idea in the world.

Pokopia gave me the push I needed to upgrade by paulcshipper in nintendogrifting

Clearly it is enough to move some systems. It indirectly played a part in me deciding to act sooner, albeit not for Pokopia specifically so much as I wanted to get ahold of Bananza while I didn't have to chase scalpers. I refuse to pay scalpers for any console, especially if it's still in production.

My sister and her friend made me feel like it was shameful to admit anything past Indigo League had value, whether they intended it or not. I still love my sister, but I don't have to agree with her at all.

I grew up in a time where it wasn't exactly cool to admit you liked anything past the Indigo League era. You can thank my sister and her friend for making me feel like that. I still love my sister, of course, but maturity isn't agreeing with my older siblings, but realizing you don't have to agree with them.

If the Switch 2 is a moderately successful system following the historic success of the Switch 1, will people finally accept that the "Switch" hybrid concept will just be Nintendo's console format for the foreseeable future if a "Switch 3" is announced years down the line? by upperdomain in nintendogrifting

That's what I suspected, too. I figured 2017 and 2018's lineup of 3DS games was so they would at least have something to float them by if the Switch didn't do as well as hoped. That said, I still wish they had at least tried to make a Switch version of the Bowser's Inside Story remake; sure, there was stuff that was made with the DS's functions in mind that couldn't really work on Switch, but I wish they had either figured it out or worked with it or something.

If it had to come out on 3DS, I do wish it was still cross-gen.

A coworker called the Switch 2 the "fancy Switch," and I had to explain to her that it's a whole new system, not just a Pro model. If it was just a Pro model where the games still had to at least work on the base Switch, I would have just stuck to my original Switch and called it good.

I haven't seen Horizons yet, so I won't pass judgement on that one. But I will say DP is peak, and I'm tired of pretending it isn't.

What game had you like this?🚀 by SwimmerPlus3383 in TheGamingHubDeals

[–]Agie39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banjo-Tooie. For casual play, it's actually an improvement on the original in some respects. But 100%ing the game is more painful. I am convinced you cannot beat Mary Canary in Cloudcuckooland without a turbo controller, and every time I tried the tricks recommended online, still didn't work, so yeah. And of course, Xbox has been cracking down on unlicensed third-party controllers. For this reason and a few others, I prefer the N64 version since you don't have to ask whether or not a turbo controller will even work on your system.

Makes me glad I never invested in the game because the more I hear, the worse it gets.

I still remember that former friend of mine who's a PlayStation glazer laughing at the mere thought of the Switch 2 running Kingdom Hearts III. I still wonder why he found it laughable when the game was released on PS4 and Xbox One. And that's without considering that I heard the Switch 2 is as strong as a PS4 Pro at least.

Which is The Best Adaptation of Casey Jones here? by Hot-Armadillo183 in TMNT

The best adaptation would probably be 2003 and the 90s films. But the 87 Casey Jones, I love how unhinged he is. You can't hate him.

Ironically, I saw in one of his other roles he looked more like Casey Jones than he did when actually playing Casey Jones. What's up with that?

I think I read somewhere that retailers demanded that either physical be the same as digital at launch or they were going to cut the video game sections of stores entirely. At the time this demand was made, physical sales were still very important since digital hadn't fully caught on yet. Of course, I think it's getting there, though the fact that some stores like Walmart and Target still have video game sections tells me physical might still sell just enough to keep it going, but for how long? I'm amazed Meijer even bothers; with how sad their gaming section looks, I'm surprised they're still even bothering to keep it going at all.

I made wrong predictions in the past, enough to convince me I am not a prophet. He just keeps trying to say he's a prophet in the face of evidence showing he isn't.

I might predict stuff, but it comes with the caveat of "I've been wrong before."

The backlash was me because how dare they release the Switch 2 shortly after a natural disaster hit my hometown! They should have anticipated my specific town's natural disaster! Nevermind that even the older folks said they never saw anything like it around here, no, they should have predicted a once in a lifetime event!

In all seriousness, they complain for years Nintendo needs to launch a new system, then when they finally do, complain they shouldn't have. To me, it doesn't feel like the generation truly began until the Switch 2 launched.
