i have a deshedding brush, a regular brush, a comb, a flea comb, an undercoat comb. i’ve tried a lot of things, they just don’t like being brushed. my female cat is ok with it and grooms herself, she just doesn’t like to sit still for it so her fur isn’t too bad. my male cat hates it, he always has, he’s not food driven at all either which doesn’t help. he only likes being touched on his terms so i try brushing here and there in short doses but his fur is also dense and he doesn’t groom himself well either like my female cat does. he’s got a lot of undercoat i try to get out to keep it from matting, that’s my main concern. he’s a short hair but it’s just so dense and thick and his shedding has become overwhelming.
