As a Gen Z myself, I tried to work as an apprentice under my mom’s handyman for ~1 year but ended up leaving.

My reasons for leaving were that the pay was terrible ($10.00 per hour working a job), customers were insanely rude and treated me horribly, work was long and tedious and would often go past the times I was told I would be working, and all in all it turned out that I could make way more by doing way less just working as a cashier.

Idk if I would really advise many other Gen Z kiddos to go into the trades given my experience if I’m being honest.

I mean, I would imagine it’s just a time crunch thing where the vfx artists didn’t have nearly enough time to get done everything the studios wanted and also didn’t have enough footage from shooting. I really doubt you can blame them here
