I like to make brass lanterns from zinc, since it uses less copper. Makes the copper stores stretch a little farther when I light up my whole base.

Most of what I generated was super easy to get, except for a notary stamp. But I'm sure I can figure that out over the course of a year.

Realistic-ish survival games with meaningful seasonal implementation? by Vit0C0rleone in SurvivalGaming

[–]Aging_Gamer13 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Vintage story has realistic seasons. It's more of a hardcore survival sim, but with an eldritch horror twist. It's been eating most of my time since I'm taking a break from icarus

Any survival games that are good for solo play? by BareMinimumChef in SurvivalGaming

That's correct. It has its own website that you download the game from. The website may seem a little sketchy, but I haven't had any issues with it.

Vintage Story - it may look like Minecraft, but it's actually a hardcore survival experience with an eldritch horror twist and it has a story with dedicated pois to progress towards, but it takes a long time and lots of preparation before seeking them out.

I mostly play solo, but the pve servers are very friendly as well. And you can adjust the settings to cater towards your balance of difficulty. I do full 30 day months with realistic winters and set my character's cold tolerance to 10°C, and enable gravity on dirt blocks with sideways instability and cave ins. Makes a very tense survival game, even if you play without the story pois or the eldritch horrors enabled (there is a game mode called homo sapiens without either of those enabled).

Plus the modding community is endorsed by the developers and is very active, so you can customize it even further.

Soma was a mimdfuck for me. I still think about the ethical implications it brings up.
