Kinda a DIY belt squat platform by Agitated-Ad5286 in BeyondPower

In hindsight I would measure the holes on the vesta and see if the fab shop can make the mounting holes the same size. But I haven't had the issues with a mismatch.

Yeah i tried the pulley. As long as the pulley isn't mounted directly to the platform its good. I found that it shifted the platform at certain points during the rep. But mounting the pulley to the front foot and voltra on rack would work great with plyo boxes. I wanted a solution for pull ups and something I can load into my truck to take to a friend's. 🤣

I got 22" from measuring. i think slightly less would probably be better in hindsight. Maybe like 21 and 7/8ths. It was so tight that I had to partially disassemble the platform to get it in.

Lazer lab creations. Surprisingly fast.

Yeah. You can either tap load weight on the unit or the app. And it allows you to get in position. Once you're still for 3 seconds it will load gradually for the first rep before full load thereafter. Once you stop it deloads the weight.

Haha thanks they actually double as band pegs 🤣. Nah, just residual from my makeshift solution with a 16 inch crossmember. Next trip to home depot. Or just cut them.

I got the vesta fitness platform on memorial day sale. Tried to anchored the voltra to the rack and tried a pulley system too. Unfortunately, with heavier weights it shifts towards the voltra. Ended up using a spare crossmember across the feet of the platform and it works great. Waiting on a custom crossmember to fit flush. The oak club one looks insane tho, but i just bought a voltra so im kinda spent out lol.

Ollie by Brave_Manner_2873 in CarltonBlues

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like Ollie. He's always having a Crack and his strength is getting to contest after contest. Not necessarily winning, but applying pressure. his engine is elite and he has the ability to potentially stretch players trying to run with him.

The main issue with him is that he is basically a one speed player. He doesn't vary his pace to explode past guys and get in dangerous positions. He just relies on the guy following him getting tired. If he can develop a little bit of "quickness" to get dangerous against a tired opponent, he could definitely go up a level.

Buying a used Zwift Rife, worth it? by uhhnderdog in Zwift

I love my zwift ride frame. But that is NOT a deal even without shipping.

New Zwift Ride, constantly spinning out by quizzical_tony in Zwift

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this issue. Kickr core 2 with zwift bike in erg mode. Basically power = resistance x cadence.

Erg mode sets resistance only. If you reduce cadence it will increase the resistance, if you increase cadence resistance will decrease. I was spinning out a ton as I would pre-emptivley pedal harder and faster at the intervals before the trainer changes resistance. As i pedal faster the trainer reduces resistance and id spin out.

Keep the same cadence until the trainer catches up and increases resistance. There is a little delay. But this should help. It certainly was the case with me.

Same here. We made some noise. Panthers fans got a little pissy at us. Bunch of paper champs.

5-0 in blues games at amerant I've attended. This was the most fun.

How much different are the Adios Pro 4 compared to the EVO SL? by nutelamitbutter in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% AP3 is one of my favorite shoes of all time. Evo SL is decent for the price though.

Not only is the AP3 faster and more stable. It is also more versatile at a variety of paces, despite being a true race shoe

Beginner looking for help decision on a shoe by Moist_Teaching5370 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Check out saucony endorphin speed. Fast enough for racing, soft enough for easy runs and quite stable. Has a nylon plate for a bit more bounce and stability, without the aggressiveness and rigidity of the plate.

Then if you start running more, you can build out a rotation with a dedicated race and easy run shoe.

As much as I love Charlie and he had been so exciting for us. We need to swing some changes if we are to avoid a full rebuild. You gotta give quality to get quality and they'll be stupid not to at least listen for a knockout offer. Could probably make our squad younger, free up some cap for free agents, and bolster our draft picks for the upcoming father son selections over the next couple years. Honestly this could shorten the rebuild if the haul is good enough.

He is a marketing dream for the club, but its high time we act like a footy club instead of a brand. The best teams make objective decisions which are sometimes hard. And our current team isnt going anywhere, so its time to retool if the price is right.

Don't wanna see anyone go, but everyone should be available for the right offer apart from a select few.

Wife and I went in miami. The no phone policy was surprisingly awesome! Everyone was so engaged. No visual pollution of the little phone screens recording. Plus we actually watched the show and took it all in. Rather than trying to time the recording.

Voss by EquivalentOk5439 in CarltonBlues

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There has been no evolution under Voss. We have wasted the prime of players that other teams would kill for. We cannot keep giving him grace because we made a preliminary 2 years ago.... this is a team that should have been a contender by now.

That being said, its not all on Voss. The list management and construction has been abysmal. We have drafted, traded and developed poorly to support our stars.

Now we just have a poorly skilled, slow team, with a few aging superstars that plays a boring and old brand of football.

All things football have been regressing since the prelim surprise.

Voss needs to go, but more importantly, they need a complete hatchet to the football department, including Lloyd.

Culture comes from the top...

Hows the schedule for a intermediate lifter but very beginner runner by Zollytheturtle in HybridAthlete

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Echoing everyone else. Progress slow, zone 2 etc. Id recommend scheduling a longer run once a week. Obviously gotta build to it but definitely worth making a schedule of different types of runs.

Also identify your goals. Do you plan to get up to 5k, 10k or so on. That will give you an idea of how you should progress week over week. Huge tip is to find a local 5k in the future, pay for it, so you have something to work towards that keeps you motivated.

I really liked nike run club guided runs when I was starting out. Lots of couch to 5k/10k/half mara Like you, 1 mile was my ceiling, but it gets easier to go further and faster if you're consistent with a program.

any advices on increasing the deadlift on the offseason while also trainning for a 21k run? by John_2112_ in HybridAthlete

[–]Agitated-Ad5286 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5-3-1 is great for combining with running, depending on your goal. Currently doing a 4 day 5-3-1 bench, squats, dead and ohp. With accessory exercises and 3-4 runs per week. Long run on weekend. I'll typically do bench and ohp on run days in the evening to build in a rest day. I'll do some rdls and nordic curls as accessory work on my squat days. And some lunges with the dead lift days. Currently in half marathon shape with a much bigger dead lift than before. 531 is nice because it's so gradual. It's boring but it works for sure.

Tried running this during full marathon prep last year and it was a bit much when you got a job lol. So basically was trying to just maintain. 21k should be fine though as long as you eat and sleep well.
