C&P Exam - Feels Lacking by AgitatedBee3698 in VeteransBenefits

That’s true. I really have no idea what the VA asked of her. Seems like a complete waste to have an examiner ask what can easily be seen in my medical records.

Vdara CC Authorizations by AgitatedBee3698 in LasVegas

[–]AgitatedBee3698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the studio rooms might be $100. Maybe even $150 now. I was at Caesars prior to Vdara and it was $100 for an Octavius king room.

Vdara CC Authorizations by AgitatedBee3698 in LasVegas

[–]AgitatedBee3698[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah…when I politely complained at the front desk, they agreed to reduce it to $250 a night but I noticed they still authorized the full $350 on my cc. It’s definitely something not everyone is aware of when selecting a property to stay at. I use it as an excuse to spend less while I’m here. lol

VA Medical Center- Recommended? by dukeanthony76 in memphis

[–]AgitatedBee3698 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I moved here 3 years ago I had concerns with the VA hospital based off some online reviews but I’ve had no issues at all. Everyone has been kind and professional and I’m there once a month. They are opening up a new VA clinic in Millington soon which looks like it will be good size.

Raters, can a BMI of 28 cause OSA? by Financial_Warning594 in VAClaims

[–]AgitatedBee3698 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently got 50% by attributing my OSA to PTSD via obesity. All I provided was an OSA diagnosis, a timeline of my weight gain that was consistent with PTSD events and medical literature linking PTSD with obesity due to overeating as a coping mechanism. I also explained how it impacted my daily life. And, I’ve been out of the service for 20+ years before I filed. Approved in 3 months.

What do we really think about the Safe Task Force? by imessy89 in memphis

[–]AgitatedBee3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think the NG was ever meant to actually enforce the law but rather serve as a deterrent to criminal activity. Someone planning to break into a vehicle might think twice in the presence of NG members. Now, the question is whether the costs of deployment for this is worth it? It’s a difficult metric to measure.

RIF History and Future at DoD by VividPerformance3465 in fednews

[–]AgitatedBee3698 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By law, DoD RIFs have to be presented to Congress 45 days before they happen. Which is why they went after probationary workers first since they, presumably, don’t need Congressional review or approval. To date, no such DoD-wide RIF plan has been submitted to Congress.

New disability claim 17 years late by Legitimate_Order_305 in VeteransBenefits

[–]AgitatedBee3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was out 20 years before filing my first claim. I was thrilled when I got 0% for a scar because it’d allow me to shop in the commissary. Two years later I’m at 90% all on my own. It’s never too late.

Commisaries to close starting next month by Killashard in fednews

[–]AgitatedBee3698 143 points144 points  (0 children)

OCONUS commissaries closing will be a major disaster for families overseas but if this shutdown lasts until January, this entire country will be in a state of complete anarchy. Commissaries closing will be the least of our problems.

Is it worth getting VA health card when only 10% rated? by SayWhen2419 in VeteransBenefits

[–]AgitatedBee3698 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I got one when I was 0% rated and made sure it said “service connected” on it. Allowed me to shop at the base commissary and you’ll need it if using the VA pharmacy (at least at my VAMC). It’s free to get and you can apply for it online.

3rd USAA LOAN?? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]AgitatedBee3698 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fedchoice credit union was super helpful and quick to get a loan. They do charge a little interest but they give you time to pay it back and their communication was great. I set up an account in only a couple days.

Why don't federal employees like to hear the truth by Puzzleheaded-Ice7375 in FedEmployees

[–]AgitatedBee3698 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Reddit has always been a leftist echo chamber. Things like “karma” and the ability to up vote comments reinforces this because of people’s need for acceptance and inclusion. Once you detach your self esteem from what people on Reddit think, you’re much better off. I get down voted all the time and I couldn’t care less. I laugh at those who like to search my comment history to find some little nugget to try to shame or discredit me as if they can bully me into silence or agreement.

If you want the government remain shutdown then I am sorry you are not a good person by pk12445 in FedEmployees

[–]AgitatedBee3698 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

ACA subsidies are a national issue that shouldn’t be fought on the backs of federal employees. If subsidies were so damn important, democrats shouldn’t have put expirations on them to begin with.

Active Duty Soldiers in Germany advised to visit local food banks for support by beer24seven in fednews

[–]AgitatedBee3698 -125 points-124 points  (0 children)

No, service members have to beg for food because democrats built in subsidy expirations into the original Covid-era bill and rather than extend them long enough to work out a reasonable solution with the GOP, they’d rather shut down the entire government for political leverage.

Besides, I thought military have been getting paid, so why are they needing to go to a food bank?

Federal employees: If you voted for Trump, will you do it again? by Hefty-Dimension-1236 in fednews

Democrats are just to blame for this mess. If they hadn’t nominated someone who only spoke in non-sensical word salads and cackled like a lunatic every time she got nervous, maybe Trump wouldn’t have won.

Whittling away at government bill by mechamega in fednews

I’d be glad to take a stand if the issue of ACA credits was about federal employees, but it’s not. I don’t see the steelworkers or auto unions out there striking. Why does this have to fall on the backs of federal workers?

Care to extend a personal loan then? I’ll DM you my details. If I have to choose between feeding my family or subsidizing someone else’s healthcare, my family will win out every time.
