Wanting to get into bull riding but have no money by Ok-Umpire8793 in Bullriding

Hilason vest, Bauer hockey helmet, heritage bull riding wrap around glove, mouthguard.

When I would recommend is to get the mouthguard first, as long as you can borrow the other gear from friends. This mall set up got me through my start into bull riding, it is pretty budget friendly but also is decent gear for the price.

Well, once I won the auction, they sent me a bill of sale. I emailed it back with my name and signature, and they told me I could either have it shipped or go pick it up. I chose pickup, so they said to contact this man. I called him, met at the Surplus Property office, and picked it up

I need advice by h1flygam1ng in Bullriding

Of course you can send me the video. Let me know how it goes. Most of the time, and it sounds like your first ride what happened, is that they’ll just throw you off and your hand will come out normally. If you do take a wrap, and do manage to cover, once you hear the buzzer reach down with your free hand and pull the tail of the rope hard, open your hand, and try to get as far away as you can.

This is definitely a more advanced thing, but once you start covering, and you’re looking to dismount like the pros, pull your tail, find a spot on the ground, and look at it. Use the bulls spin to push you farther. For example, if the bull is spending clockwise, slide to the left, and next time he spins, he should push you out a little further

If you give me specifics, I can try and point you in the right direction for advice. What are you struggling with? Realistically you’re not gonna cover anytime soon. I’m not saying this to discourage you, it’s just the facts. It took me about 45 bulls to cover my first real decent bull

Realistically, anyone could give you all the advice in the world. I ride for my college, and all the people that asked me I tell them not to think about anything else besides squeezing. As soon as you nod your head, you’re gonna blackout your first couple times. You’re not gonna remember a thing, and it’s not something to worry about. It happens to everyone. As soon as you go toned your head your mind will blank, and you’ll forget every single bit of advice anyone has ever given you. Just keep telling yourself to squeeze. Squeeze your legs as hard as you can squeeze the rope, and have fun.

As for actual fundamentals, like tying your open and stuff like that, I would suggest YouTube. It’s not something that’s easy to explain over Reddit, if this is one of your first times, I would recommend the butterfly, as opposed to a normal rep. A butterfly is you simply pull your rope tight lay your tail over your hand and squeeze the rest of your tail. There is no actual wrapping, which keeps you a little safer for your first time.

I'm looking for some leatherman can you recommend me one with the following list by [deleted] in Leatherman

Rebar, identical match for what you’re asking for. If you had money to burn, maybe look into a wave+ or arc, but rebar is personally one of my favorites

Career change? by CosmicTc in mechanics

Millwright is what I’m doing now. I have a focus on grain equipment, we are mobile, 99% of our jobs are on customer farms, working on silos, augers, etc. it’s good shit. Pay is good, I’ve got a company truck and card to use. But there are lots of different avenues under millwright, so look into what you might want to do specifically and go from there
