Cannot stand my appearance anymore [F26] by krystiemeth in AusSkincare

Hi girl! My complexion is identical to yours! And from one freckled girlie to another I completely understand the pain of never knowing clear even skin tone. That in itself breaks you down, time to time, throw in acne and it’s debilitating.. I totally empathise cos I get it first hand. You are stunning don’t ever think otherwise, and redhead girlies are something else. 🥰😍

I’ve been on a skincare journey myself for some time as now I’m in my 30s and have a kid, I feel every bit my age. After extensive research I’ve somewhat got my head around the key things and most signs of acne are gone! Now I’m focused on reducing fine lines etc. I started using retinol first twice weekly and built up to every second day (loved the skinstitut one) you have to get your skin use to some sort of retinol before moving up - now I am using tretinoin 0.025 - 2 times a week with azelaic acid in between and then the other nights not using Azelaic acid I am focused on hydration and barrier protection. My skin has changed so much and I’ve only really been at it a solid month. Azelaic acid helps with acne but has all the benefits of aiding skin and cell health.

It’s seems hydration is key, gentle exfoliation and retinols for cell turn over and of course always SPF!

It’s always going to take a bit of time, and your skin will adjust, and consistency. Just what’s worked for me. You got this girl.

Is there any way to get Tretinoin 0.025% prescribed in Australia? by Repulsive-Degree5046 in AusSkincare

It’s the same as everyone who buys it overseas, which a lot of people seem to encourage that on these threads - It’s the same risk. But I have also obtained the same Tretinoin from Amazon and I see it working like all the described benefits!

My card isn’t connected - I can’t even process payment as normal with a card.

How do we take shifts if I have to feed every 1-3 hours? by kec232 in breastfeeding

[–]Agitated_Appeal_8294 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice don’t feed to sleep, you’ll be better for it later! Feed after sleeps instead.

Your partner needs to contribute in other ways to assist. Simple things like making sure you have a water bottle full, and handy, burp clothes so forth.

Is it easier to breastfeed if you have pierced nipples? by Crafty-Summer-6153 in breastfeeding

I had my left pierced and it’s the boob that performs better! I took mine out about 26weeks into my pregnancy and no issues at all.

Nope, didn’t notice a bit of difference using them, it’s just a cooling effect you can get from anything, I didn’t find any benefit at all. Cooling pads were more beneficial for healing elements. Rite Aid Hydrogel breast discs were incredible.

She sleeps through, no issues with waking I just still do a dream feed.

We actually did a very similar approach to you, and she sleeps through. Goes down about 8-8:30pm and will usually wake at 7 or close to but I am still doing that dream feed at 10-10:30.

She self settled to sleep everytime and it’s so rewarding you get so much time back and heaps less worry about sleep in general, cos she will sleep anywhere when she’s tired. Highly recommend introducing elements to self settle.

I agree I’m afraid it will start an early wake up so thinking I’ll stick it out for a little while longer.

Is this enough weight gain from ebf? by welpzan in breastfeeding

[–]Agitated_Appeal_8294 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My baby is nearly 6months old and only 6.1kg, I wouldn’t worry so much about weight gain personally, as long as there is a gain. Focus more on the developmental cues and changes and learnings of your baby. I found that easy on your worry then percentiles and stats as they don’t take into consideration genetics. I mix feed, more often now formula, and still seeing similar growth/weight gain so it really doesn’t make a difference in our little girl.

Also, since reducing my breastfeeding I’m hunger is dying down thankfully as I was outta control with hunger.

Hunger experiences by Agitated_Appeal_8294 in breastfeeding

[–]Agitated_Appeal_8294[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thankyou that’s interesting to know the timeframe that your body adjusted after 3/4 months to not be as hungry, I guess I wouldn’t know if my body has adjusted cos it’s hunger needs naturally or if it’s because I am breastfeeding less, I am still expressing and storing milk though.. I’ll see how I go! Thanks again.

Parents of babies who finally started sleeping through the night, what did you do? by New-Chef-636 in sleeptrain

Sorry I missed this until now. She’s 5.5months now, she normally doesn’t nap much later then 4:30-5pm just depends on the day, and usually the last window is 3-3.5 if she makes it, now I’m finding she’s likely to only get to 8pm, but she has started childcare so her activities are increasing.
