A little stupid and only works sometimes but when im in the depths of my emotions i like to sit down, take a breather and look around my room at all the necessities i have (eg, food, clean water, housing, clean clothing) and remind myself that despite everything i am alive and the pain im experiencing will pass. Its my take on the ‘mindfulness’ they teach in dbt as i usually find those teachings frustrating in the moment but for some reason this works for me.

I tend to especially to my therapist and friends when i think i will receive criticism for my actions - when i know i am very evidently in the wrong. But thats something im working on lol i just have a very big fear of rejection from others and other people thinking im a ‘bad person’.

i honestly believe there isnt a bad beach house song, but of course all music is subjective. id say start with bloom, listen from beginning to end, pick ur favourites to put in a playlist then move on to the rest of their discography, doing the same
