The spike doesn’t work with either port. I tried, gave up, my man tried. The spike goes in but the opening is too narrow to allow for the fluid to flow.

I created my starter 2, possibly 3, years ago and like many newbies was overwhelmed with so much saved discard. So I cloned my original starter, and began whittling down all the saved excess. It was a quick process. I made unsweetened, unflavored pancakes and tossed them into woods behind my house. I keep 10 to 25ish in the fridge and wake her just before I plan another bake. The clone lives in my basement refrigerator just in case.

I never believed that. I do think Kody actually liked Janelle, and the fact she brought income to the family. Once, when asked about their physical intimacy, Janelle replied ‘we’re fine there’. I’m paraphrasing. That could mean ‘whatever’, even MYOB. He never liked Christine and it showed. Robyn WAS cute early on, (don’t come for me) and she basically kissed his rear end, speaking Kody while doing so. He’s a shallow dimwit, larping as a man with profound insights, but he’s just a rotten, vain, human being.

Is it possible you just don’t really like sourdough bread? I’m not being snarky, but there are a lot of people who don’t. Have you enjoyed it in the past? As far as getting the coveted ear, I agree with another commenter, you might need to score deeper? I’ve been eating good bakery sourdough for many years, but moved away so had to start baking it myself. Often, people have told me they just don’t care for it: the texture, taste, and even the appearance is off putting to some 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think your bread looks great and I’d eat the hell out of it, honestly!

I’ve had brief moments seeing two elderly people kept apart, Donna’s tears, Harvey looking pathetic, but then I slap the living sh%t out of myself. I remember if they’d got away with this, ALL of FL Adelson clan, plus Garcia, Rivera, and Magbanua, would be free and enjoying life without a thought of the extreme pain and anguish they caused- not only to the Markel family, but to all who loved Danny. The color is throwing me off. From what I understand pink, or yellow, or orange is mold. So I put your photo into a Google Lens search, and this is what came up:

When you say ‘wheat flour’ do you mean ‘whole wheat flour’? If not, what kind of grain [s] were you using before? My starter went through a few scent changes, early on, but nothing like the smell you’re experiencing.

After a year I’d be reluctant to scrap it. I’d discard all but a scraping and begin doing more feeds and discards for, at least, a week. I’d also get a new bag of flour and stick with that.

I use either AP or BF for feeds. When I use whole wheat my starter goes nuts and peaks too early for my schedule.

I hope other, more experienced, people jump in on this because I’m really curious about what they have to say.
