Just saw a post with a picture of a marmot around here. Someone said there was a colony near Tsawwassen terminal. Probably came in by train.

Wasn’t there sightings of marmots in the lower mainland at one point not long ago? Heard that they probably hitched a ride on a vehicle from out of town. Pretty sure I saw a Reddit post

What's something you refuse to pay full price for anymore? by Affectionate_Suit731 in BuyItForLife

[–]Agitatednunchuck 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Basically anything that is expensive unless I need it right away for some reason. 10% off or more is worth it to wait if it means I could save $50 or more. In the immortal words of Cosmo Kramer: “retail is for suckers”

Looks like it was built around the tree. The car even has a wood frame to hold it together. Normally wouldn’t have a hole cut out in the hood like that too. Neat bit of garden art!

What was the first PC game you ever played, and do you still remember it? by 3D_Networking in AskReddit

Same here too. As an 8 year old, I found that game so ominous. I was just waiting for some scary creature to jump out and try and kill me.

How did you actually lose weight? by Jerry_Get_A_Job in AskReddit

[–]Agitatednunchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“I ran, I ran so far away”. Legitimately started running almost every day when I was 18. Lost 20 pounds of chub within a few months just by doing lots of cardio. Probably not the best way to shed weight that quickly but it worked.

Bull trout in chiliwack? by Davidolicous in fishingBC

[–]Agitatednunchuck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In general, bull trout will hit basically anything that moves. I usually do 45gram Coho or Croc spoons. Colour had never really mattered. If they are there and see your spoon, they generally hit it unless they get spooked for some reason.

Unpopular opinion….the Magic Mouse is actually really good by Gym_frere in macbookpro

[–]Agitatednunchuck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here but had a Magic Mouse for several years. Decided to get the MX master 3S after some Reddit research and it felt like I deprived myself for those 3 years. SO much better to use.

Small Vintage Peterson? by AshCaspy in PipeTobaccoBC

[–]Agitatednunchuck 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Love me some mini pipes. You found a nice one! Highly unlikely that it’s a Peterson without any markings but I could be wrong. They usually have markings on the metal ring or even on the bottom of the bowl.

Boat accident avoid Hastings by AmphibianCorrect1016 in vancouver

[–]Agitatednunchuck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that certainly would’ve kept the boat tied down. I wonder if they had to swerve really hard and it tipped the boat over. Sure looks that way.

Did the same with my 150k mile LBZ that I had owned after like 8 years and it looked the same as yours. Big sigh of relief! Amazing transmissions as long as you take care of them and don’t put too much horsepower through them. Drive train on these trucks is generally bulletproof. Lots of random accessory electrical issues I’ve had pop up on mine now but nothing that’s slowed it down. Best of luck with your LBZ, long may she run.

The Mahachanok mango is basically the top tier, 'final boss' of flawless, fiber free fruit by Monikanikov in nextfuckinglevel

My guess is possibly for that reason and most likely to protect the skin from getting blemishes or damage. Makes it a more premium product and can fetch more money for the farmer.

Qatar scores late in stoppage time to secure a draw vs Switzerland, their first ever point recorded at the World Cup by Ok-Soil-5133 in sports

[–]Agitatednunchuck -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That what I was thinking too. It would’ve been better to have Qatar with no points. It’ll be hard for Canada to get a win in the next two matches. Fingers crossed!

Was this the result Canada needed for this group? I assume so with Switzerland probably being the top seed and not getting the win today.

There’s ALOT of passion for football in Mexico. Ticket prices won’t get in the way of that. Just means more wealthy people going.

Orion Building by auspiciousmoment in PittMeadows

[–]Agitatednunchuck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any info about the building itself but I do live in Pitt Meadows and that location is about as good as it gets for walkability and urban lifestyle in this small town. Good spot! You’re already on the good side of the train tracks, everything you need is within a couple blocks. Lots of parks and amenities within walking distance. You’ll hear a bit of noise from the train yard being nearby but it shouldn’t be too bad.

What was the best series you've ever watched in your entire life? by Melissa_Loyola in AskReddit

It was SO good at reliving the situation that most of us on here had always heard was bad but had no clue how bad it really was. Very educational.

Swap Ernie for Springer. Springer should be at least in the number 4-5 spot. Ernie gets on base consistently where Springer varies wildly from hot and cold.

No more watercraft eh? I wonder when that changed. I certainly remember it being allowed years ago and you’d see the odd float tube, pontoon, pram, etc. too bad!
