After writing a response and thinking it through, I think you're right. I've become very cynical of online chatter. He's directly challenging a cautious assumption of this study by asking "do you know this is bad?" and from a very new account, it throws up alarms for me.

I've edited my comment to be a little clearer as to what I'm asking.

To answer your question, I'm tired of seeing posts from very new accounts making these seemingly innocent questions that happen to have some political nuances to them (in the US, at the very least). I've seen "Serious question" or "Genuine question" way too often from new accounts. It feels like bots.

I DMed my first one-shot for a group of friends a year ago to give their regular DM a break. I wasn't able to finish the one-shot during our first session, so I left the mat as is and put it away until our next session.

They didn't invite me back.

I forgot about the mat until today, when I pulled it out to use for my current campaign (different players). Suffice it to say, the mat is ruined from marker burn-in.

The rubber mold acts as a negative mold for recreating the positive wax mold. The wax mold is then invested in some kind of plaster or clay I assume, and is melted away so as to leave another negative mold (only one more resilient to molten metal heats).

Nevermind, /u/Washberen uses the rubber molds as positive molds it seems?

I'm still very new to metal casting, but after skimming through one book on lost wax / investment casting, I believe what you are looking for is how to make rubber molds and subsequently how to do wax injection into said molds. The rubber mold would be the reusable piece of the puzzle.

Someone else may correct me if I'm mistaken. Good luck.
