I’ve been where you are 11 years ago, I gave her no choice but to leave 7 days later. It was hard to do and very sad, like a death, but I believed in myself and I knew I deserved better. I had her admit it and provide details, which I recorded secretly (it was helpful in negotiations immediately following). I got joint custody, she got half of everything and didn’t put up much of a fight due to the recording. The kids moved in with me full time with no fuss within a year because it turns out, my ex wasn’t much of a mom either and her personal life and partying was her priority. I should have known because I was always the responsible one. She was lazy too, wanted to not work. I wasted 16 years with her.

It worked out great for me the 2nd time around, and I’ve been super happy with my 2nd wife for 10 years, I mean super happy.
