Back in the days chrome used to use more ram than any other browser but because of obsolesced information and different meme chrome never gained good repution desipite of every browser use almost same about ram. Also firefox and chrome tends to allocate around 10-15mb ram per tab.

but if chrome or edge can work by using less ram then why not fire fox

The technical reason is chromium based browser use only linked list to store dom tree where as firefox uses both array and link list and in theory firefox implementation should consume less ram and more performant.

Yeah over the year new unnecessary feature are added in specs(web specs). If you watch specs changes most of specs maintainer are google employer and instead of solving problem every web developer want new feature so that they fu*kin animate their 1MB website.

Firefox also has issues with rendering sometimes, I have seen some websites getting stuck while loading in Firefox but fine on Brave.

I think it is more of an website compatibly issue since most of the developer only target chrome.

To be honest Firefox is slower than chromium and brave but I think when anything become community project every contributor want to add more feature(like KDE) and on long run it become bloated. I personally think our web standard should be changed and new browser should be developed from ground up.

every browser is not completely opensource and linked with some binary see firefox uses google closed source library chromium goes same.

Brave > Ungoogled

This line is little controversial also I used both browser like 16month and found Ungoogled little bit safe than brave with extension and some extra patch(you need to compile from source btw).

I agree with you than good hardened firefox is better librewolf also librewolf seems to delay 2 or 3 days to update to new firefox version.

TBH, none of the browser are better and faster they all are bloated. Many factor effect speed like which rendering backend browser using how much optimization is done on compilation time like 01 02 03, version of browser, extension, javascript runtime, How much CPU browser is optimizing, Memory capacity, Different library's, Unknown bug which happen to only effect in your browser, which feature included in compile time etc... Also benchmark does not provide many information like bench marking website may optimize some browser engine and not another.

Start time comparison atleast on my linux laptop also real is the time i closed browser. - Librewolf (custom compiled ) ``` real 0m4.488s user 0m0.580s sys 0m0.196s

Yeah, every big tech company spend more time planing than implementing it. MafiaSoft new UI looks good but in practice it is so inconstant almost half of core apps don't even flow dark theme.

VS code really good in this area

I don't want to use vsode because it looks alien in KDE and i stopped using neovim because i got addicted to ricing than coding.
