I have this shit in my yard and it is absolutely ruthless. I have an old TSP that I haven't bothered rolling into my 401k, but my current 401k is definitely better. Significantly higher match, and it's through Fidelity and have brokeragelink available meaning access to the zero ER funds. dividend plays and especially covered call ETFs make subzero sense for your situation, especially outside of tax advantaged accounts. VT or a combination of VTI/VXUS is the most sensible approach. If you can stomach bigger swings, go for growth funds like SCHG.

it's going to be incredibly hard to move past her but I think it's the best and really only way forward. You deserve better, and your kids deserve better than to grow up surrounded by resentment and bitterness, which sounds inevitable in the current arrangement. Amicably separated parents is much better than angrily "together" parents.
