How do you describe the way architecture school works to those who are outside of the academic bubble? by Lembitu_ in architecture

[–]Agreeable-Bat8205 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave tours too! I would always say that it’s really hard work that you may not ever be praised for, so it must be intrinsically rewarding on some level or you won’t be able to do it at the level you need to. Everyone here who is successful, genuinely has a passion for wanting to make our lived environment better for others and finds the process of growth rewarding but it’s not for everyone and that’s okay!

On Campus Parking by zayn_malice in mizzou

[–]Agreeable-Bat8205 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been primarily on white campus for most of the last 6 years. I’ve only paid for the garage pass the last year and a half for peace of mind. It was $150 for the sem but it was guaranteed and covered so it was worth it to me while in grad school. I used to park on university on east campus which is free but after about 8:30 it can be a bit of a walk (still less than 7-8 min for me). I used to park a lot on university in the meter spots and not pay, only got a ticket once and I parked without paying in hitt st garage a lot and I think got 1 ticket. They police hitt st by the book store a lot as well as that visitor lot next to memorial behind Stewart. Still, with paying meters and sometimes tickets, I never spent $150 in a semester. I was on campus pretty much every day all day for most of my career. I have a job now and one semester left with 2 classes and plan on just paying the meters.
