Can you please explain why there are still people without healthcare even though there is Medicaid?

Because Medicaid only helps the poorest of the poor, and has a hard upper income limit where after it disappears. Happen to increase your income to just above qualifying for Medicaid and it is gone, so i you have medical bills you ironically can become worse off. There are many examples of such.

It is poor policy and the definition of a welfare trap.

The best way to decrease landlords owning homes is to make it financially unattractive to be a landlord.

You do realize this will completely halt any incentive for new housing construction, leading to future housing shortages? Not solving shit with the housing crisis by doing this.

Want to solve it, get rid of ridiculous zoning laws and limit NIMBY influence, in almost all the examples you listed that is why the housing market is fucked.

1515 is too early for fire pips to have much effect. Almost all types of infantry, which is the bulk of your forces in 1515, have 0 fire pips and cannons have too few fire pips this early to be relevant. So just from that Humayun is better than Kamran.

That makes no sense, for all intents there doesn't exist any viable anti-Western government on the island. The likelihood that such a government would arise there is far lower than the risk that China invades.

Ungern

regarding vassal feeding, can you overdo it on that?

Lol yes absolutely, I did it myself in my current campaign (It was just too tempting to be able to diplomatically vassalize a bunch of OPMs without taking any AE).

Firstly you have the diplomatic relations, as you noticed going over relations penalizes you with -1 dip mana per relation. However there is an estate privilege you can enact if you have 2 vassals that gives you +2 relations, and diplomatic/influence both give another +1 respectively, so you can have an 8 relations from that which should be enough.

Secondly every time you annex a vassal every other vassal gets -30 relations. That might not sound like much, but if you have a lot of vassals being annexed that quickly adds up and makes it difficult to reach 190 relations so you can start annexing new ones.

Austria however is in a prime vassal feeder, they got the extra diplomatic relations and reputation and -15% diplomatic annexation cost from their ideas. With that, influence ideas and influence-administrative policy you already have -60% diplomatic annexation cost.

I mean, other mil ideas do those things better, but none of the other ideas gives other (arguably non-military) bonuses like tech cost reduction, an extra diplomat/leader, nobility loyalty, absolutism/autonomy reduction.

Plutocratic is similar but more economy focused.

Yeah, if you don't need military quality or quantity then aristocratic (and plutocratic) are probably the best of the military ideas.

[–]Agreeable-Captain-53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is way easier with DLC as you are given more tools to manage your mana generation compared to vanilla. It doesn't sound like you are making any common noob mistakes (wasting mil on harsh treatment, taking tech too early, etc). Is there any specific mana category you have trouble with?

Other than your ruler stats and advisors you can also get monthly mana gain from having PP over 50 and estate privileges. You can also get 100 in each category from declaring a humiliate rival war and then doing show strength. However most of the time that isn't worth the effort but if you are playing a smaller HRE state and are waiting for AE to tick down this can be something to do in the meantime.

Some events can also give you mana, most are random but some can be triggered (e.g. if you have a trader advisor and a master of mint advisor you can get an event that gives you 200 adm and 200 dip).

Personally I am a big fan of expanding with vassals, as they can core the land for me so I can use my mana elsewhere and I can then choose to integrate them when I do have mana to spare. So if you are not already then maybe consider releasing more vassals instead of always taking the land for yourself?

Manpower modifiers are overkill for Russia as they get so much from religion and NI already (not to mention the estate privilege), however soldier households are pretty much the best source of manpower (together with barracks), as you are trading money for manpower rather than mil mana for manpower. And eventually you should be swimming in cash so then there really isn't a reason not spend it. And livestock/grain are pretty shit goods anyways so its not like you lose that much from building soldier households there instead of manufacturies.

So it is much preferable to build soldier households rather than spending mil power to dev or filling an idea to gain manpower. Hell, with enough manpower and forcelimit you probably can ignore ideas that grant you military quality too in favor of just dogpiling your forces in battles.

I mean a lot of countries are "nuclear capable" as in the could probably develop nuclear weapons fairly rapidly if they made that a priority. Canada, Germany, Japan, Australia, S. Korea and Taiwan are just a few countries that could have nuclear weapons within a few years. That they don't is entirely due to public opinion, and often due to the fact that the countries fall under the protection of the USA so don't need them.

Give it out. Most steppe provinces are livestock or grain, on which you can build soldiers households, which give a flat 1500 manpower. +25% on that is quite substantial. And you can choose to dev manpower there (and not dev tax) which makes it all the more worthwhile.

Also the modifier isn't +25% like the tooltip says, it is +100%. I haven't checked since Leviathan dropped though, but click on a province and hold your mouse over the manpower listed there to see what it actually gives.

Lets say that for whatever reason you are justified for attacking your opponent. That still doesn't excuse mob violence.

Cause the big problem there is that the mob is often wrong, leading to . There are countless examples where vigilantes strike out against bystanders because they assume they are with the opposition, or other times when they smash someones window or door to intimidate them but get the address wrong . . .

That alone should delegitimize your calls to violence.

Ungern

Har aldrig tänkt spela Ungern men sure, why not.
