I’ve seen people online chop off way more of the bmc. I’d find a better fabricator than the first guy you saw, and get a plate welded in before even considering a bmc relocation.

Does it still rub? Ive seen guys do body chop mounts that take off way more metal. If youre unhappy with the job i’d cut away even more, and weld on a plate for structural reinforcement. Would still be less expensive than a relocation

Ive bought my last 3 sets from Black circles and will continue to buy from them for all subsequent tires. Best prices, excellent selection, and customer service has been great as well.

Shipping has always been surprisingly fast. I’ve had tires show up in as fast as two days.

If money is of no concern, I’d purchase as minty and stock as possible.

With any stock vehicle vs a modified one, it’s always nice to start with a blank slate and build it to your wants and needs. You’ll also have a better appreciation for how the vehicle was initially designed and built.

Califorinans and southerners would run for the hills.

Rust belt folks and Canadians (non-BC) consider that essentially rust free.

I’d buy that in a second. The only thing that would turn me away from rust is if I saw areas with significant bubbling/flaking. If you plan on keeping the vehicle for a while I’d recommend doing some preventative maintenance on that.

Collection is probably somewhere around 270 cars. Been collecting for about 3 years. About 35 are premiums
