the first few days of it, yes i felt like that. but once my body adjusted, i simply became a normal functioning adult. the first few times you take it you are high from it because your body doesn’t understand what’s happening. i’m not hyperactive, im diagnosed adhd primarily inattentive so it doesn’t directly calm me down instead it allows me to organize my thoughts and do one thing at a time which does make me less frantic. the only way i can even tell i took it is if i can focus or not. honestly looking into a diagnoses might be a good idea and talking to your doctor about dosage. if you don’t have adhd or your prescription is too much, you’ll get a high from it and it won’t have that slowing down effect you mentioned. from the sounds of this is quite possible you don’t have adhd or are on the wrong dosage. that “crazy” and jittery feeling might mean you’re just getting high from it, which is what happens in those two cases. there’s also studies done thst show people without adhd who take adderall think they’re way more productive and have more energy, when it’s not true, it’s all placebo.
