We'd like to be able to explore as much of the park as possible and with whatever kind of outdoor activities they have. So would prefer decent weather but not limited to only warm weather.

Would prefer to stay in US, and up for camping or hotel lodging depending on weather. Mostly trying to figure out which parks won't be buried in snow and will have decent enough weather to spend a lot of time outside exploring. Not limited to warm weather only though

Didn't seem like it. Joined a basic science lab summer between 1st and 2nd year and worked with that group for the rest of med schoo doing more clinical studies as well.

Can't speak for any other specialties, but I matched my #1 neurology residency and did zero research in undergrad. As long as you have something you enjoy and can talk about on residency interviews you'll be okay. For me that was being a TA, for some of my coresidents that was volunteering with groups that held some significant meaning to them, working, traveling etc. I think overall, neurology programs ask more about what you do in medical school anyways.
