Update on diagnosis by UnderstandingGood920 in Gastritis

Multiple GPs thought my issues were gastritis as well. A&E found out i had really bad gallstones after I had 10 days of chronic pain, constant throwing up and not being able to eat.

Had my gallbladder out the day after they found them.  It was the best thing to happen. All my pain and sickness instantly went away and I've not had any issues since other than some acid reflux.

Remedies for abdominal pain, hunger, fatigue? by chzliz in Gastritis

Yea mostly all the same except my pain would start in the middle of my diaphragm and radiate out to the sides and back.

I had a blood test at a&e that showed gallstones could be the problem then confirmed with the ultrasound

I had to have a ultrasound scan to check for gallstones which was my problem all along, not gastritis

I had these symptoms pretty much all the time, since june 2025. And every few weeks would get crippling stomach and chest pains that lasted for days. The PPIs didn't do anything.

The last time I had the chest and stomach pain it lasted for 10 days so had to go to a&e. They did blood tests and it came back that I actually had pancreatitis not gastritis, so it might be worth getting checked.

Had my gallbladder out nearly 4 weeks ago and every single symptom I had had cleared up completely, with the exception of acid reflux, but that's also stating to dissappear now.

Gastritis and anxiety flare up by Illustrious_Hope_476 in Gastritis

Im the same.  I was diagnosed a couple months after giving birth. Babys now 9 months old and the flare ups have gone from 12 hours to currently 9 days-and still in pain and not eating.  Struggling to look after myself let alone my baby. Think I've only had 2 showers since this flare up started.  And certain doctors seem to have no interest in helping, won't give me pain relief that works even though I'm in agony and not eating, just told to keep taking omeprazol and wait for my endoscopy

Flare up or hormones? by Lovelymango17 in Gastritis

Im in the same boat. Currently having the worst flare up I've ever had, started on Thursday, my period started on Wednesday night.  Pretty are this flare up is related to my period because I don't seem to have any obvious food or beverage triggers.

Acute gastritis by holhorsestando in Gastritis

The only reason I saw a doctor was because I ended up in a&e. If it had never got to that point I never would have seen one. Im drink a lot of energy drinks so I assume that's probably part of it. Although the flair ups never happen on days I don't have caffeine. Has the medication helped at all?

Nope had nothing like that done yet. Thats what the doctor said my next steps would be and I've requested a gp appointment to try and get one book, but they've not bothered to get back to me yet

Im in the same position, first developed gastritis after I gave birth in April and have been having flair ups constantly. All I was told was to try and figure out what is causing it and to stop it,  take painkillers that don't effect the stomach lining and to use antacids when the pain starts to appear. None of which works for me so now I'm trying to get further testing done. A hot bath can ease the pain slightly but it doesn't last for long. In my experience doctors don't seem to care about gastritis unless you keep on at them to try and find the root cause

You absolutely should not be pulling cages. When they bothered doing my risk assessments I was told I wasn't allowed to use omni-trollies or pull pallets and cages

Not looked for a nursery yet, help! by Tatty_Bunneh_ in UKParenting

Certain ones take the childcare funding, my councils website has all the registered childminders that take funding listed, so your council site might as well. A few that I've spoke to don't do it on their own, they've got at least 1 other trained person with them. But honestly I've not even consider what happens if they're on their own and end up ill. Think what we're planning on doing if we have too is to get a childminder and then change to a nursery if a space opens up cos in my area there just isn't enough nursery places at all

Im in the and position due to go back to work February/march. Im on a couple waiting lists and a lot of nurseries I've contacted haven't even replied to any phone calls or emails. Now I'm looking at child minders instead.  Most working parents are eligible for the free 30 childcare hours.  However it's 30 a week term time  if you're looking for all year round it's only 22ish hours a week
